Re: McCardell takes on task of developing Devin Thomas, Malcolm Kelly
So you're saying that Fred Davis could now beat out our ProBowl TE. I'm just saying -- WHY DID WE DRAFT HIM IN THE FIRST PLACE?? We already had a Pro-Bowl TE. And so FD starts -- what do you do with Cooley now? And which TE is going to block Demarcus Ware?
I know we're all really saying the same thing -- DUMB draft move. |

McCardell? But Joe Gibbs released him and he made all pro with Jacksonville, didn't he?

Re: McCardell takes on task of developing Devin Thomas, Malcolm Kelly
I don't think Skinsfan69 was, at all, implying that coaching doesn't have an affect on one's development, but rather said influence can't morph a nobody into a spectacular, Pro-Bowl receiver. The desire to be great has to be present before they ever step onto the field.
In the case of Art Monk, he was constantly compared to Charlie Taylor on a number of levels. I think Taylor simply helped Monk put it altogether to become one of the all-time greats. Great coaching won't make you anything that you're not to begin with, but it will help you perfect your craft and sharpen your skills. |

Re-reading my post, I sure did put a lot of words in Skinsfan69's mouth, didn't I?
