Re: Devin Thomas Cut By Panthers

The Panthers are so stupid. Clearly if they understood how to motivate him he'd be the next Jerry Rice. Whoever picks him up is getting a steal.

/sarcasm, don't overreact.

My exact thought upon hearing this latest news. Thomas clearly has physical talent, but he needs to learn how to prepare like a pro if he wants to remain one.

Have a great holiday everyone!

Re: Devin Thomas Cut By Panthers

I wouldn't jump the gun on Carolina cutting Devin. This is the same organization that signed a guy off the street to start against the Ravens instead of playing a guy (Tony Pike) that has been with them since day 1. Also the same organization that gave big money to DeAngelo Williams, then drafts Stewart in the first round. Also gave money to Matt Moore, then drafts two QB's, Clauson in the 2nd, and Pike in the 6th. Trust me, living in Charlotte, NC this organization is absolutely clueless. The people around here hate the owner, coach and personel group. Oh, and they drafted Armani Edwards in the 2nd round when all the NFL draft day experts had him either being drafted between the 6th and 7th, or possibly not being drafted at all. Mind you, they also gave up a 3rd rounder to move up and get Edwards in the 2nd. Plus the dude hasn't even seen the field.

I would guess Devin will get a chance to play somewhere next year. Santana said the kid has a ton of talent. Maybe he'll focus more and put more time into playing football.

He should become Vinny's limo driver so he can take him for another ride.

Correction : They gave huge money to DeShaun Foster, then drafted Williams. In any case, their front office is more F'd up then ours is. They screw up more crap in personel decisions than we do. They didn't trade Peppers for picks, when they knew he wasn't going to sign with them and they had offers. They moved their best player on Defense out of position, Beason is a monster and they moved him outside when he plays middle. I can't stand the Panthers, but it is good comic releif down here.

Maybe Devin Thomas and Patrick Ramsey will finally meet on the same team?

If a wr goes down, does he get a call from Allen?

I wouldn't mind seeing him come back, humbled & at a fraction of his former salary, that might inspire him.

That sounds more like a coaching is and not a VC talent issue.

If we did that, then that means we have several WRs hurt which certainly could happen, but I don't know if we ever re-sign Thomas. I was hoping he would work out, but I think both Thomas and Kelly were big time busts.

He's not done done but he's on life support. If Mike Williams can comeback so can Devin Thomas...he just needs to commit himself to being a pro...LOL.

On one hand I see Shanny saying no way, he's never coming back. On the other hand I could see how this turn of events would serve to let DT know who's in the driver's seat & Shan might bring him back if he felt he was humbled.

I realize that this short time span is not much for a person to mature, especially a young man of 24 or 25 that thinks he's the man. I'm just trying to foresee a happy ending!

Re: Devin Thomas Cut By Panthers

Saden, Mike Williams was a first rounder with more talent than Thomas. I see where you are going though.
