Now instead of waging war on the field, you will be in a competition with your fellow sign-holders to see who can chant the loudest and be the most inspiring to the common man!

Remember this would be a "LOCKOUT"....not a strike, why take it out on the players?

Yeah, especially given that the owners want to add two games. I say take all the time you need.

don't forget the parking lot scenes where some replacements try to come in, and you get MMA fighting scenes to go with it. Imagine Lorenzo A going at it with Joe Schmo. Or A Johnson using his patented upper cut.

Pure marketing Genius.

Man they are all equally to blame if it comes to that. Sit down, figure it out, and make it work for everyone. It's a frickin game and they all are being paid a king's ransom. Improve health benefits, players take a bit of a cut to make that happen, Owners open their books and work out real solutions. Hell impose a media blackout, and get a deal done in the "dark". (this isn't even blaming the media, when the founding fathers wanted to tear up the articles of confederation, they went into a bldg, locked out media and everyone else, and got the deal done. The NFL is big, but it ain't new country formation big)

Having survived through a few strikes it seems like it would be a lot harder now. I really enjoy it more every year. Sun is filled with FF and gambling so it's not just the Redskins but NFL in general. I'd be miserable.

Re: WTF would I do without Redskins football for a year?

Does anyone remember our scab team of 87? We had a wr, think his name was Anthony Allen, & I believe he broke the rec. yard record w/241 yards. The movie, "The Replacements" w/Gene Hackman, Keanu Reeves & Orlando Jones was based on the skins scab team.

I don't wish scab football on us, but if it brings another super bowl, that's a sacrifice I'm willing to endure.

I remember it very well. I think our QB was named Ed Rubbert. People came out to watch it but RFK was like half full. But the game I will ALWAYS remember was the final scab game on Mon. night. I think Rubbert got hurt and Gibbs had Tony Robinson, who I think just got out of jail, running the wishbone. Many of Dallas' players crossed the picket line and played in that game. Danny White, Dorsett and Randy White were a few. That was the best coaching job I've ever seen by anyone. Gibbs and Ritchie somehow got these guys to play out of their minds and they carried Gibbs off the field. One of the most memorable Redskin games I've ever seen.

There are other videos in between, but here's the beginning and end of the game. In that second clip around the 11:35 mark is where Gibbs is carried off
