Amazing that some don't see that, really amazing.
Seriously... Weren't people demanding we "blow it up" about 2 years ago when everyone was calling for Gibbs head because after 2 years we didn't make the playoffs? Then we brought in Zorn and practically a whole new coaching staff.. Then this year we cleaned FO house and got rid of Zorn, Vinny and brought in ANOTHER FO/coaching staff? A QB, some RBs (although the 2 well known names didn't make the team), 1 good o-line men and a couple of dummies, some d-line fodder and a CB or 2..?

Yeah... I don't think the blow it up approach is working too well. Those people suggesting that have had the Snyder-ray goggles on for far too long.

I just don't get it either. Blowhard radio like that just doesn't appeal to me in the least bit. I know some think that's keeping it real. I agree to a point, it's keeping it real... as in real dumb.

Re: LOL @ Redskins

We should totally be more like the Bucs...who were largely put together by Bruce Allen.

And keep in mind they gutted much of the team last March, and probably more will be gone this March

are you being sarcastic? neither shanahan or allen has ever had any success assembling a talented team.

Everything's not for everybody. I though Chad's rant was a little over the top, I just happened to be listning at the time. It's not a daily routine.

I agree to an extent, although I think Shanahan has already made some pretty big mistakes, and I think Haslett is one of them. He walked into a job with some very good personnel on the defensive side, and this unit has spiraled downhill rapidly. If there's one thing Sunday showed us, the turnovers we were forcing were masking some massive deficiencies. We didn't force a turnover and proceeded to set NFL records for futility.

As a personnel guy, Shanahan wiffed big time on Jamaal Brown and Artis Hicks, and I have no idea WTF he's doing with this whole Lichtensteiger thing. Put some pads back on Dockery please.

I'd like to see Haslett get the boot, and we flat out need a better O-line and pass catchers. I could see us winning maybe 2 or 3 more games this year, but I'd almost rather lose out and end up with the higher pick. I just don't see this team turning it around in 2010.

I know that Shanahan is a good coach, but I am not a fan at all and am less than impressed with Kyle. It's completely absurd the Roydell Williams and Joey Galloway are still on this NFL roster 8 games into the season. Why not just bring up Austin to see what he's got? I mean really, is he going to do worse than zero catches? It's beyond me how you have a very capable, if not great, Derrick Dockery inactive every week while KL plays turn style with defensive tackles every game. Sure this team has missing pieces, but what team doesn't?
100% agree. And anyone who keeps blaming this on a switch to a 3-4 isn't paying attention. We actually spend the majority of the time in 4-3 looks, we just juggle it around more than with Blache. But it's not working. Haslett's scheming is clearly shit.

Rabach is soooo pathetic but he gets made a captain and gets an extension?? Whaaaa?

I guess for me whats even more troubling than the on-field play (I wasn't expecting more than a .500 team this year) are all the personnel blunders. The Haynesworth debacle, Artis Hicks, Jamaal Brown, Lichtensteiger, Joey Galloway, Roydell Williams (you mean to tell me Devin Thomas couldn't be out-performing these two??), benching McNabb and how he explained it, etc etc. Shanahan has made some serious mistakes.

I'm not calling for his head after 9 games, but still...

So the Oakland and Tampa teams that Allen put in the Superbowl doesn't constitute success? Wow, tough crowd........

Or Brunell's from the Texans game a few years ago. The HOF does this all the time for historic single games.

Very true. do you know who Chad Dukes is? I am just asking becasue you are from the NY area. the guy has been on DC radio for awhile and AZ radio.

What makes his statement even more stupid is the guy is comedy DJ, it is the same as Howard Stern commenting on the Redskins, just plain stupid.

I am just saying consider the source before agreeing with Chad.

Bio:

Early life

Dukes is a native of Burke, Virginia, and a graduate of Lake Braddock Secondary School. He did not complete his studies at George Mason University and began his radio broadcasting career working in college radio for WGMU.
[edit] Career

Dukes began his broadcasting career at 98.7 WMZQ working in the promotions department. He then transitioned to WHFS (99.1) in Washington, D.C., where he was an intern for The Sports Junkies.[2] There he met fellow intern Oscar "The Big O" Santana. Together they created the Big O and Dukes Show which debuted in the evening (6 - 10 p.m.) timeslot. The show's initial run ended January 12, 2005, when CBS Radio flipped WHFS's format to spanish language, and rebranded the station as WLZL "El Zol".[1][3]
Dukes moved to WJFK/WHFS (105.7) in Baltimore, Maryland in 2005, where the Big O and Dukes Show replaced Out to Lunch Show in the midday (11:00 AM – 3:00 PM) timeslot. The show received much attention in Baltimore when it hired former police commissioner Ed Norris as its "third man".[4] CBS Radio abruptly cancelled the Big O and Dukes Show shortly after Norris arrived (replacing it with the Ed Norris Show).[5] Dukes moved to ESPN Radio 1300 AM where he co-hosted an afternoon drive sports/talk show.
In June 2006, Dukes and Santana moved to Phoenix, Arizona to replace KZON's The Phil Hendrie Show upon the retirement of Phil Hendrie. The Big O and Dukes Show's run in Arizona ended on June 21, 2007 when KZON flipped its format to hip hop, becoming 101.5 JAMZ.[6]
After a short hiatus, Dukes returned to the Washington, D.C. airwaves. On July 16, 2007 The Big O and Dukes Show debuted on WJFK-FM in the evening timeslot (7:00 - 11:00 p.m.), following the station's flagship Don and Mike Show. In 2008 the show was moved to mid-days beginning at 10 a.m. following The Junkies and ending at 3 p.m. preceding the Mike O'Meara Show.
On July 20, 2009 WJFK-FM switched formats from simply Talk Radio to Sports Talk Radio and became 106.7 The Fan DC. Dukes now broadcasts with former Washington Redskins linebacker LaVar Arrington on the sports talk show "The LaVar Arrington Show with Chad Dukes" from 2-7 p.m.[7]
On July 16, 2010, Dukes and Santana reunited for a weekly podcast styled on their terrestrial radio show. It is available at http://www.bigoanddukes.com

[edit] Comedic style

Dukes frequently discusses his health problems, weight, and negative body image(Large Head). He also frequently discusses the frustrations in his love life. The basis of much of Dukes' on-air humor is based on self-loathing. Dukes is particularly skilled at a "ranting" style of comedy, able to discuss a wide range of topics passionately and articulately.
More recently, Dukes, along with other personalities from WJFK, has created a fake wrestling group called the Main Street Mafia. He is an outspoken supporter of the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution, he ate Oscar and loves Billy Ocean.
[edit] Side projects

Dukes was also co-host of the short-lived Snack and Soda Show. The program ran Sundays on WJFK from 2007–08, with Dukes and producer Matt Cahill broadcasting under the pseudonyms "Snack" and "Soda," respectively. Together they critiqued various snack foods and reported on snack food industry news and rumors. The show's final installment aired April 20, 2008.[8]
He formerly hosted a fully interactive videogame talkshow, "Red Ring of Death Radio," with Cahill on WJFK 106.7, Wednesdays at 8 p.m.[8] He has also branched into film work with the "Main Street Mafia," a pro-wrestling troupe that is currently engaged in a hostile takeover of the WJFK hallways, openly attacking employees that disrespect them. The group consists of Kurt Schembeckler, Nash Dukes, and Booker T-Shirt. The Main Street Mafia has completed their first short film, depicting their fight against a rival wrestling group made up entirely of zombies, known as the Undead World Order.[9] A few months later they made another movie known as MVP, Mafia versus Predator.
He and LaVar Arrington host "Sportsweek with LaVar Arrington and Chad Dukes" which airs on TV.

What he said on the show in a nutshell:

* "The Washington Redskins owe us. The Washington Redskins owe me, and they owe everybody else that has ever taken crap from Cowboys fans, that has ever not jumped on the Patriots' or the Steelers' bandwagon, that has remained loyal in this melting pot, you owe us money. We are not whores, and you are not our pimps....You owe us money, and you owe us an apology, because you went out there, and you half-assed it."
* "On national television, with your season on the line, against a divisional opponent, how DARE you conduct yourself that way."

* "You're a joke, from the top down. Every single person on that team deserves to lose their job today. Every. Single. Person. How dare you not turn in your keys, how dare you not go out to Ashburn and say here's my key card."
* "GO SCREW....Boo them off the field, and then leave and go home and go on with your life....It's not just one game. It's 28 points in the first quarter against the Eagles with your season on the line....How dare you. You're an embarrassment. You embarrassed the nation's capital, the most powerful city in the world, you spit in our face last night. You spit. Having Albert Haynesworth do the worm on the field, and they've got it on video?....You capitalize, every single year, off the sweat and the blood of the people that built this franchise, you capitalize off it. You bilk us out of our money, I'm paying $500 for John Riggins jerseys for my old man for Christmas because of what happened before you came here Dan Snyder, before you came here. Tired's not the word; wounded's the word.....You kill me. YOU MAKE ME SICK."

Yeah I know who he is, unfortunately. At least Stern admits he doesn't know sports.
