Hot enough to turn goat milk into gasoline.
That is the house band from Stax Records in Memphis, Tenessee if anyone is interested. Duck Dunn, Steve Cropper, drummer Terry Johnson, and The Memphis Horns. And, of course, Sam and Dave.
I was watching a special over the weekend on the Monterey Pop Festival and these guys were backing up Otis Redding. They're as tight as a band can get, I think.

Reminds me of my dad.
Just down loaded a bunch of old school stuff. I love it.
Here's my list. In no particular order.
Jim Morrison
All 3 Beastie Boys (open up your ears and you may see)
Hendrix
Stevie Ray Vaughn

Alter Bridge
Shinedown
Creed
Daughtry
Avenged Sevenfold
Foo Fighters
Fall Out Boy
I hope this is a joke, because IMO these are some of the worst bands in existence.

I'd leave the Foos out of that, but yeah the rest of that list is pretty horrid. But hey, to each his own. I remember when I was a kid thinking bands like Def Leopard and Bon Jovi rocked.

Yeah you're right, I should have left the Foo Fighters out.

Speaking of Tool I'll be seeing them this summer on 7/14, can't wait!
I'm watching some ebay auctions for really good tix, I don't care about paying the extra $$ to see them up close.
That's awesome, I am seeing Tool two days after that in Reading, PA.
