i say, wait for him to get cut and then see what happens. I don't want to give away any picks and I don't want to lose any players this close to the season. I would however like for him to be on the team as long as character issues aren't forcing the broncos to do this.

It makes our unit better, bringing him in. Griffin is MUCH better than him. The Broncos sucked inside last year and warren did too. He did take a salary cut to stay on the team and i think it was a big amount. I wouldn't mind him, griffin and golston rotating heavily and salavea coming in too with montgomery behind them. I would like him here. This would help out our line and if golston or griffin go down we are skrewed. Salavae used to be able to hold his own and i still give him more credit than most do but you need more than 2 decent DTs on a team.

More Warren

Soem league sources maintain the Redskins could still end up landing him for a late-round pick in a trade.

The Redskins have maintained they are not the ones pushig for this Gerard Warren deal and don't have serious interest (of coiurse that's what they say about just about everything, so no surprise there).

Two sides to every story I suppose.

Either way, this guy could get dealt or released today and, particularly if he's cut, I still think he could land here.

Get him.

Makes my madden team better. He is an 84. Golston is an underrated 74. With Warren we will have a top 10, like 7th, DT combo according to madden. We all know madden is all that matters in football land right now. :)

I really would like to see him here though. I don't know how bad he has to be at plugging the run for them to want to cut him. His rookie year he had 61 tackles. That is pretty beast at DT and he had 5 sacks. However he has fallen in all stats in recent years. Something is fishy though. It can't just be that.

At this point we need help on the o-line, it could be rough if there were a couple injuries.

For all the people that said we should've drafted d-line or signed someone, now's the time to speak up.

Ditto. Even though its pre-season and our D-line may still need some bodies, we are dangerously close to being in big trouble on our O-line. Think about it, with Jason Campbell really just getting started, he's going to need all the protection he can get.

The only way we should even consider getting Warren is if he is released, there is no way we should give Denver a 5th round pick when the guy is probably going to be released anyways. I am not a huge fan of bringing Warren in because he might end up starting next to Griffin. If that happens Golston, and Montgomery's development will be impeded upon, and Salave'a might be shown the door unless we carry five DT's.

I could care less if Salave'a is shown the door, I don't think he has ever been a good consistent tackle for us.

Well I guess you must have forgotten when Salave'a started at DT for us in 2004, and 2005 when we had top 10 defenses. I would say that's pretty damn consistent. Big Joe is a high motor type of guy he never quits, or takes plays off like your boy Gerard Warren does. This year Joe is fully healthy, and I think he is going to play a big part of our defense this year rotating in at DT. Why do you think the Broncos are shopping him? Because the guy doesn't give 100% effort.

Well they said its cause of his contract its to much cap.And i just herd us and the colts are the top 2 guys right now every one else gave up.Also they said the colts might want Tank instead of Warren and they said if not tank then for sure the rookie DT they drafted.

So far where the most likely :soapbox: man i actually want him cause mongomery is injured right now and if Goldston is to than well depend on Joe and hes not consistent he doesn't have more than 2 sacks.I like the guy ya but hes not good enough and Griffin is a big reason why are D was top 10.

And futhermore Sal is in GREAT shape right now, and we have a nice rotation.... Warren is a waste of cash.
