Alright, just wanted people's opinions on what other plays I should put in. I have a stud QB, three short, fast, but small running backs. I play power football only. What other plays should I put in?

I know you've spoken about coaching Pee-wees before, but give us a little more background. Age group? Catching ability? How fast do these kids grasp? Is everyone eligible? Does your league allow for motion?

With a stud QB, you should be able to throw the ball a ton, especially with fast RBs. A little play action will certainly freeze the defense...especially if you pound the ball a lot.

If you like power football then a great set up play would be trips left with a single FB in the back field. Spread out the defense and then run the 42 BLAST at them. If they don't check out of 8,9 in the box, throw the ball to one of the three options on either side.

reverses and roll outs. pulling guards. options. the kind of stuff that other pee-wees aren't prepared for.

I always found the TE pop pass to be a pretty consistent play good for two point conversions and such.

Just hike, throw, catch. Can't get any more basic than that.

The single back play action pass to the TE works for me every time in Madden 08. Obviously with your power running game already established this play should work. You have the game I think so Im sure you know what Im talking about. Play action roll the QB out to the right and the TE should be running an up and out towards the sidelines. Throw it to the outside shoulder and he's good.

A QB sneak is MIA along with some more inside running plays. Kids that age have lots of energy, but still do tire quickly. If you keep them running outside all of the time then you will wear them out along with the defense.

If you have 3 quick runners then only keep 2 in the game and rotate all 3 in and out. For example each back will have 2 plays on, and 1 play off. This keeps your backs more fresh. The running back rotation also provides a means for getting the play into the QB so he doesn't have to trot to the sideline.

A few passing plays do not hurt either. Remember that most kids who play football on the sandlot or the back yard pass the majority of the time; give them a chance to show what they can do. I would put a quick passing game in there that is based on a quick 3 step drop and 3-5 yard patterns. Only 3-4 routes are necessary and your SE's and TE's can just mirror each other. It is as easy as 1-2-3-4 and does not require you to change your formation.

1. Out
2. Slant
3. Fade
4. Hitch

I can go on all day so just PM me if you are interested in anything else I have to say, or if you want to say "no thanks you are an idiot". Either way, I hope I have helped a little.

Edit. I didn't say anything about Play Action because it had already been addressed.
