It's not possible to "know" what we are going to call. If teams guessed like that, we would have beaten them bad about half the time.
My only problem with the calls is when they are called as plays that just won't work. Like 3rd and three out routes into a non existant window on the sideline.
yeah, passing the ball short to cooley is OK cause he's big and picks up extra yards regardless. But the receiver routes need to be passed the LOS. Jason's timing has not been perfected, so those short routes wont work. Especially when we fail to stretch the field. We need more receivers lined up if we want the short routes to work.

I think it's probably because of what Gibbs and Saunders have done with virtual nobodies. Gibbs led a team of scabs led by a prison inmate at QB to a 3-0 record. Saunders had the best offenses in the NFL with Marc Boeritger and Eddie Kennison as his top two wide receivers.
I don't agree with the sentiment that all the blame should be laid at the feet of Saunders and Gibbs. But I imagine this is what upsets some people. And there are others who just like to be upset.
I don't disagree with the idea that the offense should be more productive at this point in Gibbs and Saunders respective tenures, but to discount the insane amount of injuries this team has faced, like they're inconsequential, is just ridiculous to me.
And to be fair, Saunders' KC offense had one of the better offensive lines in football, and arguably one of the best one/two punch's ever with Holmes and Johnson.

By blaming Saunders and Gibbs for this, we are really badly nitpicking. Yes, there are things they could be doing better, but don't we as fans have better stuff to do than talk about the calls. It's not like these calls are serious issues or anything.
Well, except the third and short crap.

Sorry, just trying to work with what we have. We can't bring in new players. I just think Jason is something special, and he is capable of saving our season, with the proper playcalling. But i'm probably tainted as a skins fan.

I don't know what to say about the game this weekend. As I've said in other posts...Yes, we are definitely hindered by the injuries the team has suffered, and that didn't get any better this past weekend. However, face it, we just aren't anything more than an average football team right now, and that is only thanks to our defense. If our defense wasn't as good as it has been so far, we wouldn't even be considered average. We'd probably be 1-7 just like the Jets. The offense just stinks.
All that being said, if we beat the Jets..."IF"... then we'll be two back of Dallas and we still play them twice. Playoffs are a possibility since we are in the weak NFC, but if you think this team would last more than a week in the post season, I want some of what you are smoking.
