But what about this: Persons Covered by Policy
The following persons ("Covered Persons") shall be considered subject to this Policy: (i) all players under contract; (ii) all full-time employees of the National Football League, its Member Clubs and related entities;

NFL Players Association - Rules and Regulations - Conduct Policy (http://www.nflpa.org/RulesAndRegs/ConductPolicy.aspx)

Ahhh, I didn't even know the NFLPA has a personal conduct policy or that it pertained to the coaches. I'm not sure that it applies to Reid's situation. I still suspect the Bylaws grant the Commissioner broad powers to pretty much do whatever he wants to do with regard to coaches.

We've all joked in recent months about the legal troubles Reid's sons have had, but it appears to be a really serious problem that's been going for several years. And didn't Goodell tell Vick back in April that he's responsible for what goes on in his house? The same should apply to Reid right?

Anyhow, with the mess that's been going on in the Reid household do you think Goodell or even Jeffrey Laurie should step in and tell Reid he needs to step down indefinitely. If you're Laurie how can you expect Reid to control the team when he can't even control his own children?

Just because his kids go around acting like thugs does not mean he should step down. I know people who had problems with their kids and they didn't quit their jobs. Andy Reid has one of 32 jobs in the whole world and he is going to quit cause his two grown kids are drug addicts? Hell no he shouldn't quit. Plus what is he going to do if he quits? Sit at home and think about what went wrong? Work is probably the best thing for the guy right now.

However he should make some sort of public statement ASAP.

Hell no. That fat loser should stay there and watch the rest of his career go down the toilet. It's so funny...three years ago dumbass jeff lurie said the eagels were the "gold standard" as to how you build a team. They sucked then, and they still suck.

Well getting to 4 NFC champ. games in a row and a SB does not mean they suck.

Andy Reid should Step Up, and tell his kids to take responsibility for their actions, and learn from it.

Do your time, get clean, and get your life together. He should also stop giving them any money and make them get jobs. But he probably won't.

His sons are not children, so despite the personal problems, I don't see any legal issue, and not sure that the NFL has any business there, though they do have some morals clauses in their rules.

Tough situation, no doubt.

I don't think the league should force him to step down, but wouldn't you seriously consider taking some sort of leave of absence if your kids were doing this kind of stuff? I know I would, especially if I was a millionaire. It seems like he's been pretty uninvolved in his kids' lives and perhaps he should become more involved.

I respect Reid as a coach, he could also be a great person, and I'm not intimately familiar with what kind of dad he has been or is. But, I still think that, if his financial situation permits it, he should start watching his kids like a hawk. Yes they are grown men, but that doesn't mean that his duties as a parent ended when they turned 18.

True, they're not children now. But apparently this has been going on in the case of at least one child since he was 14 years old. And like I said earlier, I think the real focus needs to be on the fact that he has three other children. This is not to say they're going to follow the same path as their older brothers but does Reid have a responsibility to do any more than he already is doing to prevent them from doing so?

I think they should keep an eye on it for sure. But this is sticky situation, because it's his personal life. Supposed he was going through an ugly divorce would that be reason enough for him to step down? Probably not.

I agree, but at the same time, his kids are adults too at this point, and need to be responible for their own actions at this point. I dont think Reid should be "punished" by being forced to step down because his kids are morons...now if he wants to step down, than thats fine and I could certainly understand that.

i have a 20 year old daughter that has some issues. i really feel for Reid. but what would stepping down now accomplish? the kids are going to jail. the only thing Reid HAS to do it get on the same page with his wife, so they are thinking the same things for when his sons get out of prison. Reid going to work could be good for him, to get his mind off his personal life

I doubt they will, the NFL PA (not sure if that covers coaches as well) would not let that happen to Reid. They usually don't suspend palyers unless they really mess up big time.

There is no coaches union and the NFLPA would not do anything. They exist for the players only.

The league and team shouldn't do anything other than support him. As for reid he should step down if he thinks it can really help out but otherwise he shouldn't step down just because it looks good or because it seems like the right thing. Unless it would help I see no reason to step down.
