Your reading way more into this than there is.

My response was in reference to this:

Todd Collins preformance tonight= Tom Brady jump on my ass if you want but it looked like if the Offense played like that all season the skins would be 12-0

And there were a few other backhanded remarks that started off like "I like JC, but...".

I'm also dealing with football illiterate people at work that are saying dumb shit like "I'm sorry that Campbell got hurt, but I think that other guy is better". I made the statement you quoted to try and get some kind of educated response.

I hope Collins can do well after a solid week of ;

1. Getting all the reps in practice (don't wear his arm out coach, it's weak enough already)

2. Being interviewed by the media, and

3. Having the opposing team prepare for you specifically

Many times we see the "triumph of the uncluttered mind" where someone comes off the bench, excels, and then lays an egg when the expectations and the pressures are a little higher. Maybe some guys are just good relievers. At any rate, he has a difficult task ahead of him in New Jersey's Meadowlands. The Giants will come to play.

And your the all knowing football god? come on man...
JC is awesome love the guy but he just DISLOCATED hes knee cap! He wont be playing for a while soooo it does not matter who we want to play QB it wont be JC right? Todd played a awesome game you cant deny that give him some credit he obviously knows the offense better thats all.(Does not mean we are on a TC bandwagon) So I feel comfortable with TC at the QB positions for the rest of the year.

WTF are you talking about? Is it too much to ask for a more thoughtful response than "Todd Collins = Tom Brady"? And Todd Collins did have a good game, but the knee jerk reaction by the vast majority of Redskins fans is frustrating as hell. It's toned down a bit around here(the warpath), because most of us have a decent understanding of the game of football, but there's still a bit of ignorance that slips through the cracks.

And I might have read the rest of your post if you hadn't started it out like that.

I would also like to throw some credit for our win last night to our O-line. They gave our guys more than enough time back there to make plays.

Last night, Coach Gibbs was saying he couldn't remember a better performance by a QB coming off the bench. I thought of this one:

Now can you talk Gibbs into giving Collins, Cartwright for some rushing balance

I'd also like to give props to the coaches on that last drive. They came out throwing instead of slamming Portis in the line trying to run the clock.

I'm being totally honest here. I had no doubt in my mind that Collins would be able to step it up. It was just one of those gut feelings. I had a great feeling about Collins and I knew that the offense was in good hands.
