Seems interesting, I am still perplexed about "moving the island".

It has something to do with the orchid, or at least that's what the writers want us to think. The guys from the boat seem to have beat Ben and Locke back there. I actually think it was just more of Ben's BS. He knows that Widmore "changed the rules," so he probably realized the only way he was getting off the island was to be captured. He may have just suckered Locke and Hurley into following. Like he told Locke, "I always have a plan, John."

On a side note, "moving" the island could be referring to this whole issue of time difference between the outside world and the island. Maybe moving the island doesn't refer to a physical movement at all. Maybe they're referring to shifting it's place in time...

How did they harness the power of the island before Darma put all of those stations there? Was Widmore part of Darma?

Yeah, I was real surprised that no one posted. I thought it was good. Not mind blowing, but good. I thought the insertion of the name Jeremy Bentham was interesting. Jeremy Bentham - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeremy_Bentham) He was a very forward thinking man for his time. The Rousseau/Locke/Bentham names pretty much prove the show is some sort of blend of metaphors for philosophical theory.

I gotta admit, I was shocked when Ben "moved" the island. I thought he was somehow going to shift it's place in time. I thought it was pretty bizarre that it actually physically disappeared into the ocean.

Sawyer isn't one of the Oceanic 6. He's still on the island.

When Ben put that winter parka on and said where he's going it's cold, I thought for sure he was headed to the arctic base from a couple of seasons back where those guys called Penny from.

There were a couple of moments that I was expected some "shocking moment" yet ended up being sort of whatever. When Kearney (the big Rambo dude) was down in the hatch (and not dead), I thought "oh shit, this is some sort of freaky time travel shit going on" but then it was just that he had body armor on. And then when Kate sees Claire in the room with Aaron I was like Woah!...but then it was just a dream...or was it?

Overall, I liked it. Didn't compare to last season's season finale though.
