McCain is no saint either. Didn't he have an affair and left his wife for a younger woman?

No, that story was found to be fabricated by the NY Times.

Nice, the "but I'm not the only one" argument. That's something little children cry when they get caught.

It doesn't make Edwards' actions OK. Cheating on his wife while she's battling cancer? You can't get much lower than that, but from his ambulance-chasing career, we already knew he had no morals.

I'm not defending Edwards at all, I wasn't a big fan of his even before this. Just pointing out that there are plenty of dopes on both sides of the fence.

Sounds like McCain himself has admitted to having affairs in his books

McCain was banging his current wife Cindy while he was in the process of a divorce. The sad part was his wife was in an even worse situation than Elizabeth Edwards when he gave her her walking papers. I can not in good conscious respect a man who leaves his wife after a debilitating car accidents.

F*ck you Mr. McCain and Mr. Edwards.

JFK had an affair too. I think many of them.

Look, we don't really know any of these guys. Not condoning cheating by any means but I'm not going to stand here and throw stones at them. They have to live w/ their mistakes.

You can call them hypocrites, but if they do a great job for our country and gov't i'm happy.

Let me add to that last post....within reason.

Honestly, call me immoral, but give me a President that can manage our economy at the same time as intelligently handling our foreign policy and he/she/it can sleep with whomever he/she/it chooses. Throw in a real plan for fixing social security and balancing the budget and I'll chip in on the escort service.

I think people would probably respond a bit differently if Edwards came right out when this was first brought up a couple of years ago and said "Yes, I made a mistake. I've told my wife and family. It's been a difficult process but we're working through it" Instead of the repeated denials. I think people are more likely to "trust"/forgive a politician who cheats than one who lies.

Oh, so now its back on McCain. Don't you say the same thing when others say stuff like Clinton got this mess started or if Clinton would have just done the job etc... ?

John Edwards offered some advice to Russia in their conflict with Georgia:

"Russia better pull out quickly or they will be in trouble."
