Stacks42 09-07-2008, 09:08 PM Based on the week 1 JC backlash off of his 15-27, 133, TD, 0 INT performance the internets will be ablaze across the NFL nation with cries of 'BENCH ________' for these Week 1 standouts:
Matt Hasselbeck 17-41, 190, TD, INT-Hail Senaca Wallace!
Marc Bulger 14-26, 158, 0 TD, 0 INT-Free Trent Green!
Carson Palmer 10-25, 99, 0 TD, 1 INT-Put in, uh, uh, whoever..
Derek Anderson 11-24, 114, TD, 0 INT-They gave up Charlie Frye for that?
Or maybe other fan bases realize that it's just one week and there are 15 more games to be played..
Those 4 QBs mentioned are established starters and have shown in the past that they can win games and lead their teams. Something Campbell has not managed to do, Im not calling for his head, because there really isnt a better option, but I am tired of the excuses. SHOW ME SOMETHING!

But with the exception of Anderson, they have all had TIME.
jsarno 09-07-2008, 10:45 PM Then why didn't the Lions set out to stop the run and put 8 or 9 guys in the box and let Ryan beat you passing. The Lions Def- Coor- is not a moron. That didn't happen, and the Falcons comparatively looked Super Bowl champions to the performance we gave on THU.
That is something you might want to ask them. 42 runs to 13 passes means they should have...but I guess no one told them. I didn't watch that game, so I don't know...but I would CERTAINLY call the DC a moron if he didn't load up the box.
They looked horribly inept on THU. You can give Campbell and Zorn as many rationalizations as you would like. Ryan is working with a lot more obstacles than Campbell is and he managed to pull off a COMPETITIVE performance.
So you're saying it's all Campbell's fault? All the other players on the team had nothing to do with the loss????? It's 1 freakin game man. If the Skins beat NO 28-13, and Atlanta loses 35-10 next week, we will forget all about our poor performance. You need to also keep in mind, we were playing the super bowl champs on their home turf, while Atlanta was playing at home vs a team that has sucked for many years. This is why we play 16 games, not one. Thank the good Lord you are not affiliated with the Skins in any way. It's not a sprint, it's a marathon.

Those teams have all locked their QB's up financially due to their play.
I think JC is within a year or two of contractual elapse. That makes him much more expendable, especially if he keeps up his bad habits.
At this point I rather him throw a pickle than look that clueless on the field.

Not to make this too personal, but I am sure you would have been fired from your job if you were judged this harshly after your first day.
djnemo65 09-07-2008, 10:57 PM I'll see you in four weeks when the bottom drops out.
Til then enjoy your stay in denial.
Skinny Tee, if the team gets it together I absolutely don't want to see you around here flip-flopping and getting on the bandwagon.
And if they don't I don't want to see you around here gloating over how right you were either.
I think you can see where I'm going with this.

Since you obviously weren't watching the game I'll inform you that the Giants are going to be a terrible team. They are not the same Super Bowl team that you think they are. If you'd been up to date during the offseason you'd see that they lost 2 of their starting DE's, one of them being a Hall of Famer. Being that their pass rush was a major component of their team you'd see how that was detriment. Also, if you witnessed their play at the end of the game you'd realize that Eli was wholesaling free footballs to Redskin defenders. The Giants are going to almost be as bad as we are this year. That's what magnifies this loss so much.
The comparison was not wins and losses or point total but between the level of competition that was put forth by those two teams with similar coaching changes and inexperience at QB.
Do I have to watch all the games for you??? Catch me next week at this time and I'll hand out your opinion on next weeks loss.

LOL...I think you are speaking for most of us here.
I had a problem with several negative nancy's last year, and it appears they are still in full force this year. To me, a fan is a fan regardless of circumstance...if you predict doom, and even have a hatred about it, you are not a fan. Fans have optimism. Maybe I have a different definition of being a fan than some of you, but being optimistic is kind of a prerequisite.

Take the blue pill man. Zion is waiting.
...It's just a perspective. If I'm wrong then hey it won't be the first time. But if I were to ask if they are going to suck this year and shake the magic eight ball, I would say that it says "All sign point to Yes"

Yeah, looks like it's going to be another year with a bunch of mini-JLC's freaking out and wanting to fire everyone from the ballboys to the owner everytime we don't win. I don't mind pessimism, it's the people who would rather see the team lose just so they can be right...there's a lot of them and I wish they would just become Eagles fans and leave us alone.
