I am just bummed that this is what I have to listen to on the radio. The John Thompson show and the sports reporters?!?! Are you kidding me? John Thompson admittedly knows nothing about football! And how about Steve Czaban (sp?) and Frank Haneran?? These guys are hacks!!! I used to like the John Riggins show...atleast there was a certain amount of candour and they could admit that they weren't "professional grade". For F*** sake, this is redskins radio!!! I say put someone on who is biased! Put someone on who is actually entertaining! Devote an entire show in the afternoons to REDSKINS! Snyder should hire Dexter Manley and give him his own show.
Riggo is an idiot. Love him as a football player. But as a analyst. He sucks. I actually liked Doc Walker. But I am not in the area anymore. So it dont matter.lol

dmv I agree about Riggo. Even as a former NFL great it seemed like he wasnt too knowledgable about the game today. I even wish they would replace him on the Redskins Report on NBC. But I don't want an "analyst" or atleast in the traditional sense. I want someone who is football smart and has a sense of humor. My favorite moments on the Riggins show was when he, Gary and Kevin all bagged on each other. The moustache growing thing was hilarious!

Theismann on Clinton Portis vs. Brian Mitchell - D.C. Sports Bog (http://voices.washingtonpost.com/dcsportsbog/2008/09/theismann_on_clinton_portis_vs.html)
theismann agrees with portis. brian's "back in my day" stuff doesn't really cut it since it's a different animal now (365 physical training, etc). he has a lot of other good points too.

Theisman comes off as a know it all a lot but I tend to agree with him way more than not. I never understood why Skins fans turned on him so much. On this I totally agree with him.

I don't think people really "turned" on him, but he has just been really terrible as an analyst.

I think people are simply reading way to much into CP's statement. I know on the face value it sounds horrible, but.....we all know CP says whats on his chest and does not hold back. He's an open book. Here he is one day thinking out loud "hey, I have wondered how I would do on another team that seems to always do well with the run blocking and run plays." I don't blame him I would wonder the same thing. Think about it. He did well in Denver due to the zone cut blocking. Throughout his tenure here I bet he has lobbied to Gibbs about this very fact. Gibbs liked man-to-man blocking. Now he has a new coach and has probably mentioned this very fact to Zorn and the coach listened. Except he is trying to mix both blocking styles when it fits them best.
I think what we heard was a CP that opened his heart and mouth and spoke allowed and more then likely did not mean to diss his offensive line. Then you have a simple minded commentator who is looking to stir something up. BM is always critisizing the Redskins. I have yet to hear him say anything nice about the Skins. BM stated his job is media and he is supposed to speak about good things and bad. Well BM when are you going to talk about the good things?
Hey BM...nice that you can come up with all this nice advice but since when do you know anything about being a RB? You were a one dimentional player. You were a kick returner. Speak about Rock all you want but shut up about the rest of the team. You never were the featured back and when you had the oppurtunity to be the featured back the team decided you were not good enough for that and you ran to Philli where when given the chance they realized you are not featured back material. Yet again you were a KR.
I to am tired of all the radio personalities that are commenting on everything else but football and am getting tired of the commentators talking negatively about the Skins when it's Redskins radio. I naturally assumed that in other markets ie: Texas they talk about Dallas, Philli they talk about the Eagles etc. So why do we have people talking negatively about the Skins or not talking about the Skins at all. I'm not saying Riggo was the best radio personality but he was a lot better then the Thompson show. Thompson knows nothing about football and BM..well..simply loves to hear himself talk even if it is all BS.

Philli they talk about the Eagles etc
I doubt that we have it as rough as eagles media. especially if any of them are comprised of their fanbase.

Are you married? I am. I often wonder what it would be like to bang my wife's sister. Shes hot and I bet it would be awesome. Cant blame me for thinking about it, but do you think I should go around talking about it? Think that would have ANY positive effects? There's where the line is....
I'm not arguing with you for the most part... I agree with a lot of your post. I do think that CPs comments were made out of poor judgment. I understand where he's coming from but sometimes you should put your ego aside when answering questions and put your teammates on your shoulders. He says he wants to be a team leader, and that is the farthest thing from acting like it. I don't mind the not wanting to play in preseason and pulling himself out when winded (to some extent) but I was less than thrilled about his comments... even though I completely understood where he was coming from...

you have to remember that bitchell's job is getting players to talk.maybe this is how he decided to get CP to talk?mitchell seems like he's a real tool too.you know he's still bitter about the way he was released here and replaced.maybe that's coming through too.
