I got the distinct impression from CP's comments that he was frustrated by the injuries and having to deal with little to no passing game. He actually pointed out that he is constantly facing 8 man boxes. I didn't get the impression at all that he thought this o-line sucked. Just that it hadn't been as good as he'd like because of injuries and shuffling. The commenst about running behind another line were in the same vein. I really didn't have any issue with what he said other than I knew people would take it wrong if they wanted to.

If the coach, QB, and linemen DID have issue with the comments, do you honestly think they are going to tell the media about it?

That is what a locker room is for. Keep it in house and handle it in house.

If Portis had an issue, he should have addressed it internally, and not vent it to the media. It is so "Chad Johnson" to do that.

Yeah, exactly right about keeping it in house. I'm sure Portis got some opinions from teammates/coaches behind closed doors on his comments last week. He definitely should have kept his mouth shut to the media.

As far as B-mitch is concerned- I think he's in bounds to call out Portis for running his mouth last week. But I understand why Portis got pissed about the conditioning/commitment comments. He spent all offseason here in DC working out with the team and taking on a larger role as a leader. If anything his commitment and conditioning has improved over the past year. And Clinton has worked hard for that. So if he felt like his hard work and dedication was being discounted by B-Mitch, then I he had every right to be pissed off.

B-Mitch is a pain in the ass.

Ive listened to half of this and as much I hate Bmitch, I think CP is wrong on this one.

he is just a bit outta control and obviously emotionally. CP is clearly upset upset but Bmitch didnt do anything wrong guys. As an analyst Mitch can say whatever he wants, who cares if it is right, it gets you to listen right? mitch isnt news, he is an analyst, therefore he gives an opinion. Sorry but CP is wrong on this one.

Just listen to it.

Why is CP wrong though? I haven't heard this at all so I am talking out of my ass I guess but based on what has been relayed here CP is upset that BMitch is throwing bombs his way. I'd agree BMitch has the right to do so but CP has the right to think BMItch is a little bitch just as much. Contextualize BMitch's comments with his normal negativism and he gets little sympathy from me. He's a bitter guy. Bitter that the Skins cut his ass (even though they shouldn't have, I agree) and he is bent way too much against them. Does he point out positives too? Certainly but he doesn't seem to relish doing that nearly as much as pointing out the negatives. I'd like to hear someone who simply points out both and doesn't show a propensity towards one or the other.

B Mitch has been calling Portis out seemingly since the day he arrived. It's been pretty tense for a few years now between those guys.

I don't think he points out positives much, but you gotta realize on all shows there is usually one host that leans negatively, it just keeps people listening. Bmitch may be factually wrong, but he has all the right in the world to say how he feels.

Now back to the interview, listen to it all. CP keeps on interupting Bmitch, while Bmitch does not. CP threatens Bmitch, and bmitch gets a bit annoyed and tells CP not to "take it there".

CP tells Mitch he is mad about conditioning comments and that mitch should be a man and not say it on air, but say it in person. Mitch says well the same applies with Portis, if he is so pissed why not try to get in contact with Bmitch and talk about it offair, instead of bringing pointless yelling to the show? Good counter point by him.

Finally CP is taking it too far, at the end he seems to calm down and tells Bmitch, that from his side it is "squashed"(if you dont understand, look it up on urbandictionary.com but means the "fight" is over). Dont you think that is taking it too far? It is just a reporters comments, nothing to get so upset about.

Obviously CP was irked, and he had a right to be too, but it came off bad.

I guess should clarify, I think CP is wrong in how he goes about expressing himself.

If he runs as well as he has the first two weeks, I hope he gets pissed a whole lot this year.

You seemed to leave off the part of what Portis said last week about his front line and how he never had any holes to run through and how he would like to run behind a better line for one week. BM said he should have not aired that in public and BM was right about that.

Yeah I was focusing on the parts of today's interview I noticed, but you are 100% correct.

I can understand that but how'd you feel if I said you were a pretty worthless poster around here and you ought grow up a little and do a better job of not being an idiot? On top of that I think you've been a pretty large disappointment on the path for a long time and you're getting way too muchy credit for things. Now I don't believe those things but when a guy is CONSTANTLY throwing shit at you I don't blame CP at all for getting pissed and calling him out. Maybe he shouldn't get all testosteroned up but I don't know that I blame him.
