BJ Raji is a monster. I watched a few BC games this year and he is a total plugger. I'd love to have him. Frankly BC's entire defense was really impressive this year.BJ Raji is the only defensive lineman who I would support taking in the first round of the draft. He's going to be a very, very good one.

No Karlos Dansby? I think he would be a great addition to our defense.Sorry, forgot about him.

I wouldn't pay him at the same level I would pay any of those other guys, though. He's a LB who I'm not sure can play the middle in a 4-3 scheme, so while I would love to have him, he's not quite the impact player the rest are.

DT) P. Jerry , Ole Miss ,,,, may end up the best DT in this class . I hope we draft one of each DL and OL this year as well as one impact lineman on atleast one side of the ball .

Thats funny because I just went back and looked at Cushing's and Sartz's stats and measurables and they're virtually the same, with Sartz being much more productive in many of the categories. By the way Cushing only started over Sartz that one year because Sartz was injured, nice try though. I understand that you can't just go by stats and that many scouts see Cushing as being a better prospect than Sartz but i'm just showing you how easily comparable the two players are. I'm just not sold on Cushing at all I just think that he's a hyped up USC Linebacker who is a benefactor of a great defensive scheme.

Dallas Sartz 6'5" 240 lbs. 4.58 40 (Pro Day results)
Final College Stats: 194 TCKS 22.5 TFL 12.5 SCKS 16 PD 2 INT

Brian Cushing 6'3" 255 lbs. 4.75 40
Final College Stats: 171 TCKS 26.5 TFL 8 SCKS 12 PD 1 INT

source all you want. cushing is the better player hands down! sartz didnt make a roster, cushing will start as a rookie barring any injury. if you disagree with the pick in the second round fine, i would love to get him in the third if we could, but dallas sartz isnt on the same level as cushing....comparing stats is for nerds, watch the film see whos shows up.

If he falls far enough down in the first round...Brian Orakpo DE, Texas would be a nice fit in our defense. Young, powerful and fast. But I don't think he falls to the middle of the first round for us to take him.

agree with a lot.......but if we are counting on blades to be mlb then we are in a huge disagreement....post on here when that guy gets off a block to make a tackle within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage or tackle for loss.....he is a back up at best, in fact he is replacable in the next two drafts, talent level very low in my opinion.
I like him as a fill-in player but that's it. I keep thinking of the Bengals game when he was sent on a blitz and barely trotted towards Fitzpatrick. Too often he seems to give up when a lineman engages him, too.

Do they want to be a cowboys type line that is built on size and power with 350LB guards or do they want smaller more mobile guys like Denver that can go upfield and cut block linebackers.
Some big Aaron Gibson type guys wont cut it in certain systems but could excel in others.

The current Skins Oline has 5 guys with mixed talents.
The Redskins wont be successful offensively till they get 5 guys who can do the same thing well.

Excellent point that I think is forgotten often. Jansen is the perfect example. He is still a very good run blocking tackle and fine in pass protection if he has outside help to chip or block a speed rusher. But he isn't suited to be on an island in the WCO as a RT. He would probably be a better guard where he'll go against less speed guys.
Rabach's best attribute is making line calls and recognizing blitz packages. In this offense that's the qb's job and I think he ends up lost and confused instead of confident on his assignment for the play.

I think the Skins need an impact player in free agency. One guy. Not a bunch of mid-level guys signed to contracts that hurt us in the future, while we see very little increase in talent now. I think Terrell Suggs, Albert Haynesworth, Julius Peppers, Jordan Gross all fit the profile, but don't chase a bunch of these guys. Pick one of them, make him an offer he can't refuse, sign him in the first three days of free agency, and be done with it. No trying to rebuild a core through free agency. Just one guy to take us to the next level.

Sounds like a plan. One guy can make a difference. Shaun Rodgers or Kris Jenkins could have helped our line quite a bit this year. I hope this is the course our FO takes.
