How dare you all judge his artistic choices. None of you has the courage to do shit. As for the Pheonix clan being crazy, I remember seeing them in Life magazine around 1987 (Oliver North cover) and his sister Rain who is around my age was crazy all right: CRAZY HOT! That Life magazine was a constant comapanion of mine, I'll tell you what.

BREAKING NEWS:
SAN DIEGO, CA: Oscar nominated actor turned rapper Joaquin Phoenix was seen wondering around the streets of San Diego drinking whole milk straight from the carton earlier this afternoon. Many pedestrians audibly questioned why Phoenix was wearing a toga from the movie "Gladiator" but the actor offered no insight. When asked directly for comment the star of such hits as "Walk The Line," "U-Turn" and "Space Camp" merely took a long swig of milk, stared directly at the sun for a few seconds and despondently replied "milk was a bad choice; it's SO hot out today." At that point Phoenix appeared to urinate on a mailbox as he attempted to freestyle rap the plot of the film "8MM."
Authorities are cautioning people to not ask Phoenix to rap or to perform any Johnny Cash covers, as that might only encourage him. However, Hollywood insiders are apparently currently in talks with Mr. Phoenix’s agent, Don King, trying to get Phoenix to perform the opening number at this years Oscar. Whether of not that happens remains to be seen, but either way TMZ.com is just pleased to have a new soul to harvest.
is this true?

Its TMZ.. a gossip site. Anything there should probably be taken with a grain of salt.

Sounds like he's having a Ron Burgundy moment. "Milk was a bad choice!"

He's on Letterman right now, and he is completely toasted. Out of his gord. He's twitchy and giving one-word answers. A total mess. Sheesh. Letterman is just mocking him. It's kind of uncomfortable to watch actually.

When you've made the coin this guy has, I guess you can go on a drug-fueled rap excursion for a few months. As ridiculous as this is, I sure hope we're not reading this guy's obit in a few months.
