Here's a take supporting the theory that it's an act:

He has lived most of his life in that little Hollywood box which loves to get worshiped at every turn they make. If this is serious and he thinks he can rap wait until he gets laughed off the stage as he almost did in that one little clip. He won't know how to handle getting bood and will cry like a babby. just another Jacka$$ hollywood person.

This reminds me of the part in Being John Malkovich when Malkovich gives up acting to become a puppeteer. In that film he becomes a great enough puppeteer to appear on the cover of Time. I wouldn't expect anything similar to happen anytime soon for Phoenix. Still, you have to admire someone giving up everything to follow their dreams, no matter how unrealistic they may be.

Of course it's an act I can't believe people are actually falling for it.

Huh. Maybe it's not an act. Regardless, he's a got screw loose big time.

Yeah I saw that. I'm starting to believe this whole thing is a hoax. It's all being filmed by his brother-in-law and posted online? Why would he post that online if it is hurting Phoenix's credibility? Affleck has been filming all of the raps and I doubt he would put it up if it is damaging to the Phoenix's "career".
Overall it is a dumb move because movie directors are gonna think he is nutty.

Yeah, that's what I'm getting at. Hoax or not, he's not the coldest beer in the fridge.

So he pretty much did a documentary on all the stuff he's been doing since everybody thought he went apeshii ? I might get it from my guy at the barbershop if he has it.
Did you see that beer belly ? One it doesn't make me feel as bad about mine, and two makes me feel good about the fact that I'm eating better and working out now.

Odd very odd, I think a lot of great actors are somewhat lost. JP is completely lost, I like the guy and hope he can turn it around and get back to acting.
