Tauscher would be a pretty decent stop gap. Let's face it with 4 draft picks and many holes to fill we're gonna have to look at players like this.

If it's not too significant, then why not go younger/healthier? Again, I have no clue what Moore's asking price will be. cobracai1 02-24-2009, 01:12 PM Oh no doubt, I just wonder what the difference is price-wise between him and Brandon Moore. Im pretty sure Brandon Moore is a guard so I don't think its an either/or case. We need both positions. But, I feel like we can address hopefully one in the draft. If we can get Moore for 3-4 million a year, I think it would be a steal. Then we can draft best available OT at the 13 spot GMScud 02-24-2009, 01:14 PM Im pretty sure Brandon Moore is a guard so I don't think its an either/or case. We need both positions. Whoops. Must've missed that part. Either way in that case I just don't see why we don't try to move Jansen a la Tauscher before we pay for a FA who might/might not pan out at a new position That Guy 02-24-2009, 04:15 PM Vinny Cerrato was just on redskins radio. After being very ambiguous in answering pretty much everything, he casually mentioned that Phillip Daniels would be a free agent on February 27th.... even though his contract goes through 2010 according to this site. i'm thinking he didnt realize what he was saying and let something slip. Good news IMO. We would be foolish to bring back a 36-year old DE whos had injury problems in recent years. This could also be a sign we plan to keep Evans and/or Taylor. daniels has a clause in his contract, it's been known that he'll be a free agent once the 27th hits for a couple weeks at least. they'll probably bring him back for less - they can save up to 2mill that way. SmootSmack 02-24-2009, 05:13 PM A lot of people seem to think $8 million/year will be the going rate for Canty. Not sure how that number came about. Packers expected to be major players for him as well though. Actually, quite honestly the only place I've heard about this significant interest in Canty is through JLC The Goat 02-24-2009, 06:29 PM Kind of surprised that interest in Canty is going over well w/ ya'll... i for one want nothing to do w/ a Cowboy. There isn't a single player on the Dallas roster I wish we had.
