you wouldn't want tra or dawkins on the skins at big contracts for the same reasons the eagles don't want them.
they simply don't overpay for average players (often... they missed on paying kearse and missed on not paying burgess when he left).
they rather have a 3rd round pick pick than an overpaid slow safety. whether he's a hometown hero isn't really relevant to them. I totally understand the move, even though it will hurt the locker room.

Damnit. If he signs with the Eagles or any NFC East team were gonna be in trouble.
We'll send Smoot over to ask him how his hamstring (or knee, or pinky finger) is doing and Springs will ask to be held out of the game after he remembers the "pain" he had to experience.

Boy do I hate the Patriots. He probably signed for like a million bucks, too.
I thought Greg Lewis getting traded by Philly was interesting. I would expect them to bring in at least one of the bigger named receivers.
