I'm sure that Zorn has plans for him if the Campbell thing doesn't work out
Has Zorn already hand picked the QB for his offense?tryfuhl 03-22-2009, 06:53 AM I'm sure that Zorn has plans for him if the Campbell thing doesn't work out redskinjim 03-22-2009, 10:12 AM Don't get me wrong I like Colt, but I also think Jason deserves a chance to be in a system for more than 1 year before we say he's not good enough, I could see if he has been in the system for a while and not showing improvement, but remember the 6-2 start he was brilliant..So let's give him another year in the system and see what happens before we replace him with Colt( who has not played in 1 single regular season game) and I've yet to see anything that say's he's better than Jason. ya lets give jason a chance what the hell was the last 2 years?this was his chance to take us to the playoffs after a great start at 6-2 he faded down the stretch ended by losing to the 49ers redskinjim 03-22-2009, 10:22 AM forget giving people time...you either get it done...or you don't! plain and simple, and JC is too hesitant on his throws. Santana Moss even said it dudes. I for one won't be suprised if JC gets the axe this year. the problem is we will not have a good season if cambell does not play well in his last year as a redskin. If we do not make the playoffs then whats the point! start collins put jason as backup and go from there EEich 03-22-2009, 11:07 AM Sure... Brennan is a proven future superstar. They are completely sold on his ability to win superbowls. That's explains why they are bringing Sanchez in for a visit this week. Redskin Jim 03-22-2009, 11:14 AM It's not THAT bad of a thread. First of all, Campbell really hasn't done much in the NFL thus far. Secondly, he wasn't drafted by Zorn. This means that Zorn doesn't have an attachment to him that say Gibbs would (since he drafted him.) Zorn will (and thus far, has) given Campbell a fair shot -- but if he doesn't make large strides this year, I wouldn't be surprised in the least to see Colt a bit or another QB he picks up. I must say, I'd like to see Colt get some live game action in garbage time sometime. Personally, I would love to have Cutler on this team -- but not for one of the two great young players we have. You hold on to those players with a firm grip. I agree on all points, well put daseal... 30gut 03-22-2009, 11:30 AM With all of the rumors circulating around Jay Cutler, and the ridiculous rumors surrounding a trade involving the Skins, it occured to me. Zorn may have already hand picked his future QB in the 6th round of the 2008 NFL draft. Two points: Who else thinks Brennan will subplant JC is we stumble next season? Yeah Zorn hand picked his QB in JC when he agreed to come to the Redskins and become JC's OC. As HC if he didn't want JC he would have trade to trade him ala McDaniels/Cutler Then he wouldn't have named JC the unquestioned starter. Then he wouldn't have pinned his hopes for success on JC arm. According to Matt Mosley: What's in Mosley's Mailbag? - NFC East - ESPN (http://myespn.go.com/blogs/nfceast/0-2-47/What-s-in-Mosley-s-Mailbag-.html) Mosley: Albert, you were actually 6,002, but I like the way you phrased your question (praised my work). Jim Zorn didn't come right out and say this to me, but I know for a fact that he's told Campbell he's poised to become a perennial Pro Bowl quarterback. Imo if Colt has a stellar pre-season maybe he could beat out Todd Collins for the 2 spot :food-smil HTTR! Eknox 03-22-2009, 12:15 PM I have to admit after seeing that they are bringing in Sanchez, I don't think they are sold on Jason or Colt.. WaldSkins 03-22-2009, 12:55 PM I have to admit after seeing that they are bringing in Sanchez, I don't think they are sold on Jason or Colt.. Where did you see this at? cwsimps 03-22-2009, 01:00 PM I think they are bringing in Sanchez so they can evaluate his value for possible trades of draft picks. JC is the unquestioned starter and should be. GusFrerotte 03-22-2009, 02:35 PM I think they are bringing in Sanchez so they can evaluate his value for possible trades of draft picks. JC is the unquestioned starter and should be. For now he should be. He has 16 more games as a Skin to prove he should remain the starter. Personally, I don't think we won't have another franchise type QB for awhile. I predict we will go through JC and his succesor til we actually find one. Thing is Zorn's job might also rest on this season, so we might have yet another HC to deal with in 2010. IF JC doesn't make great strides in his play, drop the guy. HE will be too expensive to just be a backup. |
