The Goat 04-22-2009, 11:58 PM HOW-EVAH, based on last year and what we saw on the field of play on Sundays, the Skins might - I said might - have Rod Gardner II on their roster as we speak. Malcom Kelly dropped several balls that hit him on both hands. So, looking forward, how long does Kelly get before having that label hung on him permanently? [I'm not ready to do it just yet, but the drops were there last year on Sunday when it mattered...]
It was just bizarre too cuz in college Kelly had very good hands, often pulling in the ball w/ defenders in his face and whatnot. So basically his regression in this facet, and i damn well know i'm right here, is directly linked to Stan Hixon. That's right, the only WR coach in football to teach his players dropping half your passes is a solid day's work :)
skins89moss 04-23-2009, 01:18 AM i cant believe you guys don't want Edwards? i don't , either. but when it comes to someone else's trash, we always seem to be first in line
I agree we dont need Edwards . The Edwards is the only playmaker on the Browns roster, with no longer have K2. You would think the Browns would want to keep their best offensive player. If the Browns don't wont him there is no way the Redskins should trade for him. The Browns have to know more about him then any other team.
Giantone 04-23-2009, 04:17 AM Fail.
Then Like I said Matty ...you guys take him.We just got rid of a prima donna reciever and we don't need another TO type ...that is all about me and not the team.Boldin(speed ain't his middel name) had 1 good year without LF ,2003 as someone here said...............6 years ago and lets not forget the cards have not been a powerhouse for years .......things fell the right way for them.If I have to I'll take Edwards over Boldin anytime and twice on Sunday .What makes him(Boldin) good ....maybe having a QB that can't run or LF on the otherside to go to?
Giantone 04-23-2009, 04:19 AM An ass like the one you guys just released? I know the Giants are not known for having headcases, but between Shockey and Burress (and some may say Tiki) your team has picked up a couple of pricks lately.
News Flash, all three had talent ,and all three are gone and the Skins would have taken all three,if you say no your a liar.
Giantone 04-23-2009, 04:24 AM Your football knowledge creditability is in serious question...you might want to watch more Cards games.
LOL...,un huh.
gibbsisgod 04-23-2009, 04:48 AM Then Like I said Matty ...you guys take him.We just got rid of a prima donna reciever and we don't need another TO type ...that is all about me and not the team.Boldin(speed ain't his middel name) had 1 good year without LF ,2003 as someone here said...............6 years ago and lets not forget the cards have not been a powerhouse for years .......things fell the right way for them.If I have to I'll take Edwards over Boldin anytime and twice on Sunday .What makes him(Boldin) good ....maybe having a QB that can't run or LF on the otherside to go to?Ok, I'll bite.
Lets compare the two.
LF averages 5.6 catches and 78.6 Yards per game. AB averages 6.3 CPG(rounded up from 6.275) and 81.2 YPG. The only thing Fitz is better at it he has 6 more TDs than Boldin in 4 less games. That equates to a little more than 1 td a year. Last year though, Boldin actually had 11tds in only 12 games while it took Fitz 16 games to score 12 times. Boldin has 4 1,000 yard seasons to Fitzgeralds 3. People think Fitzgerald is way better than Boldin and the Stats just don't back that up. ANd lets not forget, he got his face broke in week 4 against the Jets and was back 3 games later. IMO Fitz IS the better receiver but not by the stretch that you make is sound like.
Boldin is one hell of a receiver. When the season came around he stopped complaining and played ball hard. He had one emotional outburst at his coach and now he is a trouble maker? Why isn't anybody saying that about Kurt Warner? He was in his coaches face after every failed 3rd down.
Smootsmack:
I hear they are offering a third round pick and the Chiefs want a second round pick. That's supposedly the hang-up on the deal.
Matty:
Agree that Braylon Edwards looks a lot like Rod Gardner II - - and to be clear, that is NOT a good thing. NO way the Skins should trade for him even if the asking price is a third and a fifth - - which is less than what the Giants are supposedly offering.

Everyone:
As I said elsewhere, IF the price for Boldin is a first and a third - - as rumored - - then I would not pay that price. Boldin is a fine WR; he is much better than Edwards. But he is not worth that price at 29 years old with an injury history that has only allowed him to play in 16 games twice in his six year career.
Maybe you're thinking of Thomas, because Kelly was barely on the field. Either way it's too early to tell what we have in either guy.
tryfuhl 04-23-2009, 08:53 AM Golly gee,.........................he's an ass and like I said without LF he's not a #1
I'll take a number 2 that can put up those numbers his rookie year :)

There was only one year he didn't have Fitzgerald..
53Fan 04-23-2009, 10:43 AM I find it interesting that Fitzgerald said he would give up some of his money to help resign Boldin. Maybe having Boldin makes Fitzgerald's job easier? I think that says a ton right there.
