Late Round Gemstootergray34 01-13-2010, 01:56 AM dude cultbrennan...half those dudes you listed are 2-3 round talents...not sure that is considered late draft gem tootergray34 01-13-2010, 01:59 AM ryan perrilloux is a dipshit, and brian baluga is a 1st rounder for sure..what are you guys smoking thinking these guys are going to go in the later rounds of the draft. ryan perrilloux is a WR at best in the NFL...even there he would be god awful. definition of a late round gem would be somebody like andre roberts from the citadel...look him up. that's what defines a gem...not a decent player that is a projected 2 or 3rd round pick. tryfuhl 01-13-2010, 03:29 AM That is the only part I don't agree with. There is a new Sultan McCullough, Jerome Mathis, and Albert Connell every year. It just so happens that Johnson has great vision along with his blinding speed. Devin Hester is lightning quick but is not a quality WR or CB, Not sure why he isn't a returner anymore. People are more likely to fall in love with the Chris Johnson type back this year but they are more likely to get a Sultan McCullough instead. I would be very happy if there is a back in the later rounds that has vision and knows how to make one cut and go upfield like Terrell Davis. Unfortunately I don't follow college ball well enough to add a sleeper pick. montario hardesty around the 4th.. he's already had a few knee surgeries though tryfuhl 01-13-2010, 03:31 AM There's this QB people don't know a lot about named John Skeleton. I was the first one on this fourm to learn about him. No one else, especially SmootSmack, knows about him but me. lol @ skeleton we sent scouts out to look at Skelton back in august, not sure if any since then tryfuhl 01-13-2010, 03:43 AM Yeah, but if it wasnt for his problems he would prob. be a first day pick. I dont think hes a thug, just a bad attitude type guy (which in my book is even worse). I would hope a guy like him humbles up a bit when he gets kicked off his team and potentially looses out on millions by becoming a late round "gem". I could see him turning into a Willie Beamen…. First day is only round 1 this year freddyg12 01-13-2010, 08:48 AM No one talks about Lewis, the qb from Duke, but this guy played against teams that usually overmatched his & he put up numbers. Has a great arm & athleticism. I look for him to rise on draft boards during the combine. Right now he looks like a late rounder. I left a link in the "4th in the draft" thread about him but here's a scouting report. Could be a steal depending on what happens after the combine. Both he and Skinner have chances to be late round hopefuls. Dirtbag59 01-13-2010, 08:08 PM Who? Never heard of him. Never heard of James Starks, (RB Buffalo) either Well just so you do know, it's this guy. Remember this face, this is the face of our next franchise QB http://tcor.files.wordpress.com/2007/08/skelator.jpg. |
