GMScud 02-07-2010, 07:59 PM There will be a Budweiser commercial in each the 3rd and 4th quarters, and a Michelob Ultra in the 3rd. Not sure about any Miller Lite commercial though
BTW, speaking of commercials, what did everyone think of the family first commercial with Tebow and his mom? I can't believe anyone would be up in arms about that. NOW needs to shut up. That was a totally respectful, nice commercial. It didn't even mention the word "abortion." Sally Jenkins was right in her article- the commercial wasn't intolerant. The critics are.

I was just saying that to my friends. I'd rather have Janet Jackson whipping out a boob anyday than watching some old grandpas (Yeah, they're a classic band, I understand that) playing the Super Bowl show.
Boy, CBS did everything to cater to the 30 and older crowd for the halftime show, didn't they?

I wonder if they changed things. Regardless, I don't care what side of the political spectrum you are in, and don't care much for political commercials in the SB. Why polarized one of the few things that actually brings people of different beliefs together?
MonkFan4Life 02-07-2010, 08:07 PM I still remember that Janet jackson Super Bowl halftime. I say Thank You Justin Timberlake ! Been waitin to see that thing since I was a youngster. I can remember standing up and applauding. But seriously, damn you FCC for getting so damned pressed.
MonkFan4Life 02-07-2010, 08:10 PM You know, I'd rather watch Led Zepplin than The Who. If they HAVE to be rock bands can they find one a little more current. If I wasn't around when a gallon of milk was $.10 then I really can't enjoy the halftime show.
I realize that I contradicted myself by saying Zepplin but they F'n crank.
perez24 02-07-2010, 08:10 PM Does Pete Townshend seem drunk? I haven't seen the Who in a number of years live but he has had moments where he seemed to be playing a different song, tempo, or whatever from the rest of the band.

Easy. I'm 31 and I'm not enjoying any part of this halftime show. I could give a who about The Who.

The Who are my favorite band of all time and I'm cringing.
