Once I saw stories of long lines at the polls, which is a good thing, I still thought the downside is that a majority of young people do not have the patience to stand in 4 hour+ lines to vote. That Guy 11-03-2004, 12:13 PM only 17% of voters 18-24 voted. so much for vote or die... That Guy 11-03-2004, 12:17 PM i had to wait 90 minutes to vote myself, anyone with a last name H-Z only had to wait 10 minutes though... what crap :P Cush 11-03-2004, 12:18 PM I was pulling for Kerry, but I knew Bush was going to win. So I'm not surprised. Never underestimate the Corporate Press and the Uninformed. Once again corporate America wins It was obvious after the 2002 midterms elections that the Democrats needed some major changes in their leadership. Maybe now they will shake things up (but I'm not counting on it) cpayne5 11-03-2004, 12:23 PM Look's like Brud's dad lost his bid for governor. http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2004/pages/results/states/DE/G/00/index.html Bozzy 11-03-2004, 01:22 PM Guess the redskins were wrong, lol MTK 11-03-2004, 01:28 PM Skinsfanthru&thru-- I dont know much about the demographics you might want to check out the USA Today, today or tommorow. I did hear on ESPN Radio on the Herd that only 17% of voters 18-24 voted. I was really disappointed to hear that. That's the same percentage that voted back in 2000. Alot of people in that age group are away at college, and the gov't doesn't make it very easy for college kids to vote, so alot of them give in and don't bother. MTK 11-03-2004, 01:30 PM and i hope they don't bother messing with Roe v Wade, impossing beliefs onto others is a stupid stupid thing to do. If hope is all we have on this issue that's not much. MTK 11-03-2004, 01:33 PM Well, at least we'll have 4 more years of some great skits on SNL |
