I like Gano. I believe if given the chance, he will become a solid kicker for us. He does have the skills and the leg. What he needs is time. Also the microscope gets stronger when so many games are so close and go into OT.
Or we can release him and watch him win games for another team while complaining about how Gano is so much better than our "current" kicker.
Sounds like the John Hall argument.

Graham Gano has a decent leg but like someone on on this thread mentioned, there's no gimmes with this guy and at this level 35 and under kicks in decent conditions need to be gimmes

I'd give Gano a very committed second chance next year. He has a lot of promise but he needs to deliver with it. Bring in a serious competitor with experience and make him show in training camp he can handle the pressure. It'd be nice too if they could get him a holder and keep him. Switching up mid-year probably wasn't helpful.
I really think that with some competition he would preveil. I really think if we let him go, he goes somewhere and becomes an probowler i.e. David Akers

I say we keep him. It's not like we can't cut him if he falters
Give him a lil more time, push him with competition

I think with Hall it was an injury issue.

Hall was a suckage issue.
He was OK for the Jets and I excited when he came here...blah.
Better at tackling than kicking. Yeah and inury-prone too.

John Hall was a veteran and Joe Gibbs loved vets, but Hall sucked. I know he was injured alot and stuff, but the man plain sucked.
