If you get more video games, you'll be back into your old chothes in no time. :oink:

(Perhaps that was the wrong smiley...nothing personal, I swear!)

My wife and I are getting a new LCD TV for each other as our big gift, then we're spending most on our son.

I've been modifying a Power Wheels truck for him...almost done. Converting a plan F-150 into Blue Thunder, the monster truck. He's obsessed with Monster Jam.

Paint is done, decals and some new parts are next. Will wait until he gets used to it to boost the power. :D

Might add some LED lights on later, maybe a stereo and speakers.

Should look like this when done:

Very cool gift from a father to a son, even if he thinks it's from Santa. You should get the greatest Christmas morning freak out reaction, makes it all worth it.

My birthday is this friday, the 17th, this year my wife combined my birthday gift and Christmas gift and got me a Bose home theater system the Lifestyle T20. I found all of this out yesterday when I came home and it was on my front porch. I spent last night hooking everything up, and tonight I can't wait to play COD...

Oh, I have to give her props on this, I would like to think that I have the best wife...

Damn son, that's sick. WTF did you get her?

Dogs hate regular vacuums, I hope that robot vac is durable!

:D

That's a thoughtful gift, really is, but I hope it doesn't backfire on you. You know women and appliances for gifts...might want to pick up a $25 spa gift card as protection.

I asked her a while ago what she might want, and she said "ANYTHING TO MAKE MY LIFE EASIER." Made me laugh. So I figure this qualifies. But you're right, I got a few Pandora charms for the kids to give to her, that should cover all bases.

Thanks. You're definitely right.

Also, it's something no one else around here will have because Dad (I mean Santa) made it just for him. They only made a few of these a few years ago and you never see them for sale...even the decals took me months to locate but I found a set.

We wanted to get him a reward for learning the potty...timing works well for Christmas.

By the way, here's the birthday cake I made him...was huge, it was a big pasta pan, not a cake pan. He has a milk allergy so bakery cakes are out. This cake was cooler anyways:

Anyways...back to the topic. :cheeky-sm

what was supposed to be 6 days has turned into 6 weeks and counting of staying at my parents home.

i just want to wake up christmas morning in my new house. i dont care if the furniture isnt delivered or set up yet, i dont care if the direct tv isnt set up yet, i dont care if we have a christmas tree or not.

i will sit on a freakin box, drinking tap water from a plastic cup christmas morning as happy as i can be . . . just as long as it is in my new house and not my parents. i love my parents but no grown man should have to spend 6 weeks at their parents house.

ohh and my lady is probably getting me some PS3 games like red dead and assasin creed. are these games worth getting? im not a huge video game guy but i like playing a few hours a week.

ps - its always cool to read about what you guys do for your kids and wives. it makes my very near entrance into the "married with kids" stage of my life seem not so . .whats the right word.... so scary? idk, every time my lady starts talking marriage and kids (which is alot nowadays) i start giggling like a 10 yr old and get real red in the face.

If you like riding a pretend horse around for hours on end it is a hoot!

BTW- Anyone try the undead version of Red Dead?

Been wanting the pro drums kit for Rock Band 3... Wife never wants to buy me stuff I actually ask for. :(

She's like, "But then it won't be a surprise!"

Talk to her mom or your mom and tell them to mention to your wife that you "told them" you wanted the drums.

You didn't tell your wife (directly) and maybe she'll fall into the trap.

Thanks mredskins, I try. :)
