He would be a huge upgrade imo, I can't believe JAX let him go

I think if we can resign Santana, he would be a nice compliment to catch all the underneath and red zone balls, while Moss & Armstrong stretch the field.

I agree with that. I think it would also be nice to get that position filled in FA by a guy that is already successful and not hope that the pick we put into a draftee will pan out. Use those draft picks on things we can't afford to miss on, like linemen.

Okung definitely had the more polished college career. But Shanahan wasn't alone in his assessment that TW may in the long run have more upside. But in the end I think we're splitting hairs, I think both players have the potential to have long successful careers.

TW definitely had some question marks coming in, but he answered a lot them last year.

[quote] "People are going to say what they want to say, so I'm really not out here trying to prove anybody wrong," [Trent] said. "I'm just trying to better myself for the Redskins so I can be a vital piece of a championship team."

Williams made Houston his offseason destination after [Adrian] Peterson found a personal trainer and reached out to some of his former Oklahoma teammates.

"I came down and checked it out and I liked it," he said.

Among the former Sooners training with them are Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Keenan Clayton, former Carolina Panthers cornerback Marcus Walker and former Jacksonville and New Orleans linebacker Clint Ingram. [unquote]

The fruits from the upcoming draft will shed light on just how effective our scouting department has been in the evaluation process. With only two picks in the substance rounds, a gem must be found in the later rounds now that we have been granted a supplemental 7th rounder.

You bring in Sims-Walker you might get the same impact you got from Moss back in 05.

Sims-Walker wants to go to the Dolphins, but that doesn't make sense for them. They got too many slow possession receivers already.

Kind of surprised, AJ Green and Julio Jones haven't been on our radar yet. In my opinion, they could be the best available at 10. We definitely need an upgrade at WR, and I don't think we have a true #1 WR right now.

Me too, both are top 5 offensive players in the draft. You would think they would be worth a work out at the 10 spot.

To further comment, with Santana not resigned and we needed help to begin with at that position...we are greatly lacking in talent at WR at this time.

Now if with resign Moss and add Sidney Rice...well...that would be awesome.

Shanahan has a history of drafting guys that he doesn't attend workouts for, so you really can't rule out anyone. You have to assume anyone that is top 10 worthy is on the radar.

True ala Jay Cutler.

I think we could also potentially pick up some decent WR depth late in the draft or in free agency, which Shanny also has a history of doing. Hopefully, we can add a Jeff Maehl or Dane Sanzenbacher, some sure-handed, quick, productive WRs.

Can anyone vouch for weather or not the Skins had someone at Locker's pro day?
