2012 NFL Draft-QB Prospects (Chapter 5)

Just heard some big news tonight from a certain Redskins front office-worker.

The worker has told me some big news in the past, which has later been accurate. Example, in 2009 he told me we were going to make a push to get jay cutler, before ESPN reported that he was officially on the trading block. In 2008 he told me if Colt Brennan was there in the later rounds, we would draft him. In 2010 he told me the team liked Trent Williams more than Russell Okung and he would be our pick if Detroit didn't take him.

The point is he's accurate with his info.

He recently told me some key info regarding our first pick. "expect it to be Robert Griffin, because we are willing to trade 2 first rounders and at least a 3rd for him, and Mike really likes this kid."

This is my concern, you don't like montgomery/your gonna replace him when our LG is coming off an ACL and MCL tear and our RT situation was suspect throughout the year with brown and polumbus and willie smith?

Willie Smith played pretty well I don't dislike Monte I just think Molk is am upgrade and nothing has shown that Litchensteiger wont be ready next year

I hope your guy is right i really want RGIII on this team. My dream draft would be RGIII in the first round and Michael Brewster in the 2nd round.

Add a top tier receiver in free agency, get some o-linemen, resign fred davis and I'd say top 8 offense.

If I was in charge, I would trade up to third overall, assuming I could get a decent deal from the Vikings (no 2013 first rounder). Doing so would force the Rams' hand. Sure they still could trade the pick to someone for Griffin, or then they could take Griffin themselves, but I'd be totally okay with having Justin Blackmon or Matt Kalil as a contingency plan. Third overall is a good spot to be in this draft.

I think, ultimately, it would be a much cheaper way of landing Robert Griffin. The Browns aren't going to move up for him. The Dolphins or Seahawks might, but I think the number one most likely scenario where Griffin isn't around at number two is that the Rams take him.

I think if he's sitting there at fourth overall, Cleveland probably takes him. But I think they will be extremely hesitant to go up.

Obviously this only matters if there is a heavy bidding war for the second overall pick and relatively nothing for the third overall pick. It makes a lot more sense in that case to be in the third slot.

Drafting RG3 compensates for a lack talent all around. That's why he's valued with a team like this.
