I agree but what I notice about the superbowl teams is what separates them from the rest is the depth that they have at a lot of positions. The best way to build depth is through the draft You can go after young free agents like a Mario Williams but what you don't want is to build a team where free agents are the main components. Every player on the packers offense was drafted. The ravens defense was almost entirely drafted. You build through the draft but you add key components through free agency. You sign under the radar guys or veterans that want to win a superbowl and are not in it for the money since they already have a lot. Signing one of the top free agents rarely works out unless they are in their mid 20's and even then it doesn't work out a lot of the time. Im completely against VJ. Hes turning 30, looking to get paid and has had off the field issues. Much rather build through the draft and sign guys that are looking to prove themselves, not just get paid. Save the big money deals for resigning players already on our team.

I just got through watching the Alamo Bowl between Baylor and Washington. RG3 really didn't do a lot in that game. Baylor had over 500 yards rushing in that game. RG3 passed for just over 300 yards and ran for over 100 yards. He was sacked quite a bit in that game. NFL teams will undoubtedly watch film of this game to undoubtedly find ways to stop Griffin and keep him in the pocket and pressure him. Like Michael Vick before him, all Griffin III needs to do is get outside of the pocket and turn up field. With his athletic ability, he can surely beat a spy LB or throw it to an open receiver on the run. It would seem that RG3 will create a lot of unwanted problems for even the best of NFL defenses.

Watch Cam Newton against Oregon. Very similar game to RG3. Don't worry, its RG3 with bad players around him. Cam didn't exactly have great players around him at Auburn on Offense. Mike Vick, Drew Brees, Tom Brady, Peyton manning, they all were stopped in college (some pretty often than the others).

the biggest success metric from college to the pros is completion % and year over year completion % increase durnig college (unless its one of a few gimmick college passing systems).

starting at 60% and going to 73% is crazy good. his vick like speed isn't going to hurt either. and if you watch some clips, you'll see his long ball is accurate. so i don't doubt he could be great.

I don't think he's done a lot of work with small windows like he'll have in the NFL or throwing guys open, but we'll see how that goes soon enough...
