im a Philly fan, and if you're counting on Lidge to be your closer, and Strasburg to be your ace, you're screwed. Lidge simply doesn't have it any more. and Strasburg, IMO, cant last a full season( health wise) last night is a preview of what you get with Lidge. blown save, after blown save

How many games do you expect the Nationals to win?

Im thinking 85 for the Nats, thats if all major players stay healthy (Gio, Stras, Zim)

lucky to win 100 games between both teams. and nice pic grillzYou're obviously being facetious, right? In 2009 when the Nats and the O's were two of the worse teams in the league they combined for 123 wins.

Big win tonight. Team ERA is like 1.95

How about Jayson Werth getting the game winning RBI? That's a nice little slice of redemption pie for him. This is the first year in a while where I have complete confidence in our pitching staff. Lidge/Rodriguez as closers scare me a little, with Lidge's history of blown saves and Henry's inexperience, but otherwise I think we are good. And our lineup should get a boost once Harper gets called up and Morse gets back. If we can keep winning without those two in the lineup it will really help when they get back.

The starting rotation has been borderline elite, and I heard on the radio the other day that they're all under team control for like the next 4-7 years. That's pretty awesome.

I find myself cheering harder these days for the Nats than my first baseball love, the Orioles. My allegiance is shifting from my childhood team to my hometown town.

The biggest concern for me is how well we'll continue hitting with Morse out of the lineup and Harper in the minors, but my secondary concern is Storen and his recovery. Once we get completely healthy thought I think this team has a good chance to look even better than they do right now.

I know its early, but I have to brag for one second because this may not happen again this season.

The Orioles and the Nats are on top of their respective divisions.

It feels so good to rep the DMV right now.
