Cliff notes: Joba was at a bouncy-house/trampoline shop with his son. Jumping on a trampoline, he dislocated ankle, bone through skin and spilled enough blood in front of the children that he nearly died and may never play again.

Wow how the mighty have fallen. I feel bad for him and his poor son to have to witness that must have been awful.

All of the kids are going to be scarred for life....and the employees.

I heard the 9-1-1 call recording too, it was typical Joba...

"This is Joba. I need an ambulance."

(he really said it like that)

The Red Sox have Ortix listed at 6-4 230 lbs and Jon Lester at 6-4 240 lbs. Now that is funny!

One of my favorite, if not my favorite, players of all time called it a career this week.

Paul Konerko (my favorite current player along with Jim Thome) hit his 400th HR last night.

Also, the Sox' Phillip Humber threw the 21st perfect game in history. The Sox just had one with Mark Buerhle in 2009 and the team owns 3 of the 21 all-time perfect games.







(White Sox fan obviously...kills me to see Thome back in Philly and on the Twins last year)

Actually...I've getting torched by every Red Sox player on my two teams:


Lester: last two games he had 5 and 7 ER...ERA for year is 6.00!
Becket: about the same as Lester
A. Gonzales: only 2 HR
Crawford: DL
Ellsbury: DL
*picked up and dropped Aceves and Bard trying to find their closer...they're all burning the place down.



I HATE THIS TEAM.

I wish I knew you played Fantasy Baseball I was looking for a league to join all of March. I want a league where folks don't give up in July.

You'll have to let me know next year. I'm in a couple of long-running leagues with the same main core of guys, but we usually have a team or two that leaves and we have to replace. One is a keeper league so you could inherit a team.
