Dirtbag59 09-23-2012, 06:13 PM LOL. Oh please let that be there on YouTube somewhere!
I don't know. I got this awesome image of it in my head a video might override it.
punch it in 09-23-2012, 06:19 PM Yeah. We need to adress the d big time thru free agency and the draft Also knock off the dumb crap with rg3 options so he is still walking when we do that. For the most part im very happy with the offense. Maybe getting tanard jackson kerrigan and orakpo back next year will help. As bad as it seems now we are a dumb penalty and a wuss call on fourth and inches from maybe being 3 and 0.
WilbursHomie 09-23-2012, 06:19 PM In the interest of realistic thinking, we're right where we need to be. I'll admit, I have no idea how a good defense can become so bad without losing many contributors in the off season. I mean, I loved Landry but he didn't help us, neither did Atogwe. And Orakpo and Carriker going down sucks but we weren't good the first two games with them in there this year. So, we're a legitimate 5-11 team but with the makings of an incredible offense and a corner and a safety away from defensive prowess again. We're right on pace for the 2014 Super Bowl. HTTR.
skinsfan69 09-23-2012, 06:24 PM I guess, if you consider "**** you, you ****ing pu**ies" a verbal dress down
Hahahahaha....good for Kyle.
DirtBagZ 09-23-2012, 06:25 PM I think the most shocking thing about this 1-2 start is just how bad the defense has been. Giving up 73, 48, and 59 yard passing touchdowns is a sure fire way to loose a game. The convential wisdom was the the front seven was the strength of the team. We don't seem to get enough pressure on the opposing QB, the only game in which we did was the Saints game, which was still a close thing.
skinsnut 09-23-2012, 06:26 PM The problem with the defense is that Shanahan and Allen (and Haslett) have signed a crap ton of bad players and due to age and cap, none of the defensive players from the Gibbs/Williams era are here anymore. Carriker's injury was bad luck. As was Jenkins last year. Orakpo's was probably a mixture of bad luck and hard headed-ness on multiple parties.
But the fact that Madieu Williams, DeAngelo Hall, Cedric Griffin, Richard Crawford, and Dejon Gomes are key pieces of the 2012 Redskins is a design flaw, not the result of good strategy/bad results.
We gambled on RG3...we lost a 2nd rounder and signed a 3rd rounder that is making no impact on the oline or secondary....we had very little options as free agents...the NFL hates the skins...they screwed us....we basically have the same team we will have for 2 years...get used to this level of talent..
At least the defense has good LB's and decent run defense...but why run when average QB's can throw 3 TDs and 300 yards every game?
Morris can't be much worse than Haslett...he just needs to get the scheme down. However, I am unimpressed with the secondary.
And Kyle did a good job of adjusting in the 2nd half, we couldn't do a thing and he went to the running game...unfortunately, he backed away from that and we lost

Rak and Carriker were lost in the first quarter of the game last week, so I'm not really blaming the defensive performance of the whole game on them too. Idc about Landry though, he's a Jet now. And I'm willing to give a pass to the d for the Saints game based on the fact that they managed to keep the Saints off their game the whole day.

I agree, this is mikes third full season it's time for wins to start adding up. And right now we look like a 6 win team
DirtBagZ 09-23-2012, 06:31 PM One other thing they need to scale back the design runs for RG3. He is taking way too many hits. He has kept us in every game. Clearly this is yet another rebuilding year. The coaches need to keep the kid healthy.
As far as I am concerned if we avoid a ten loss season then this will be a sucessful season. 7-9 would be a serious step in the right direction. I think the injury bug has savaged the team and anymore O-line or secondary injuries are going to result in this being a LONG season.

I agree with your number...but unless we can hold teams under 30, winning that many statistically would be a stretch.
We're basically in a crapload of trouble....if must score over 30 every game to have a 50/50 chance of winning...that is bad....really bad....just look at the 0-3 saints...not a good place to be
Here's an interesting fact...
The skins defense has given up 30 points in 7 of our last 8 games.
The easiest job in the world is the punter of the team playing the Redskins.
