The Eagles are a hot mess. Personally I have felt that all 3 division rivals are on the downward spiral, although the Giants keep fooling me. I see Dallas firing Garrett and getting rid of Romo and I see the Eagles parting ways with Reid. I think Reid's sons death didn't help the situation. I believe there were just a bunch of bad decisions made by the team/Reid over the last few yrs that have put them in the situation they are in now. Injuries? I sit back and think of the Redskins and want to start the list of names that a radio announcer jokingly said they probably could field another team with just the players that have been put on IR this year, so I don't buy the injury issue with the Eagles.
I like Reid and think he will get another chance as long as he "reboots" and starts over somewhere else and don't bring his current coaching staff along with him. Complete start over. Start with the basics, and get back to the plays that made him a great coach and stop trying to come up with some trick play or tweek off of those great plays he had.
Now who goes where?
Eagles- Gruden (perfect for him to start fresh and put his stamp on a team)
Cowboys- Holmgren (or so I believe. JJ and Holmgren had a nice meeting I bet)
Chargers- ?
KC- ?
Norv? lol. I could see him getting picked up by someone as their OC. He's awesome in that position even though he sucks as a HC.
GMen are not in a downward spiral. They have won 2 superbowls in the past 4 years, and are atop of the division, with a clutch ass qb. They are one of the two best teams in the NFC and maybe league. They turn it on when it counts, and their DLine is the best in the league, bar none. Funny thing is, when their season is on the line, their horrid secondary actually performs fairly well too. They are right now the class of the NFCE, while we are still trying to catch up. With one more year in the system, and with the way RG3 is playing, a couple smart acquisitions (upgrades to current OLine and CB's/S's), we should be right in the thick of the chase next year. Maybe even this year. But I don't think we are the better team right now though.
