I posted this question on Extremeskins.com, "Shannahan and Pete Carroll were hired within in days of one another, who's done a better job building their roster and why, plus name one position we're better at compared to Seattle". Of-course there were a lot of excuses.

We should be hearing something by the end of the day or early tomorrow morning. That goose is cooked.

I'd be shocked if mike is our HC tomorrow and if he is its a Damn shame on the part of Dan.

I'm sure Shanahan is making these comments, and equally sure it's only to distract from his own failures. Aside from a brief stint in Denver where he was given the keys to a SB caliber team Mike has been an utter failure as an HC (Oakland and DC).

True but what if it was Snyder that was pushing for the trade? Rumors keep popping up that Shanahan wanted Tannehill and keep the picks.

Shanahan will say anything to cover his ass. He's trying to downplay his failures. It's that simple.
