Both are walking into the HOF but Brady has always been the better QB IMO. Manning can't play in bad weather like Brady can. Manning has also had too many bad playoff games. Let's face it, you're judged in the big games. In the big games, Brady's been the better player. End of discussion.

Brady is in the top 3 QB all time...there is no debate

No debate. None what so ever.

the game was awesome.

serious drama in seattle.

did bevel not run the ball to give Lynch the middle finger?

did bevel call the pass to make wilson the MVP and set up a very profitable marketing campaign to coincide with wilson's soon to be mega contract?

is lynch and his followers going to revolt? retire?

does bevel, quinn and lynch exits = end of seahawks run?

does wilson become pedestrian once lynch is gone and the D isnt shut down?

like the sands of an hour glass, these are the days of our lives.

I can understand what Bevel was thinking. It's 2nd and goal with 1 timeout. If you get stuffed again on 2nd down you're forced to throw on 3rd down. Sometimes coaches outsmart themselves. I'd rather go down with 3 straight beast mode runs, nobody would have faulted them for that.

Manning and Brady are both all time greats. This constant need to rank them is exhausting.

I think ranking any player at any position is silly because there are just to many variables at play. Rank RB's - well who had the better oline? Rank Wr's - well who had the better QB?
The more interesting question is if you were starting a franchise tomorrow which guy would you take? That way it is based solely on your eye test.

So is he top five all time as you have said a couple times or is he just lucky and Would be nothing without his kicker? Lmao. Ive never seen anybody try to argue two sides of an argument in my life like you have over the last few pages of this thread. Lol. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD STOP IT MAN - HE IS GREAT GREAT GREAT GREAT GREAT. If not for him the Pats wouldnt have won a single god damn superbowl.

I think you miss the point entirely. I play devils advocate when you gush over Tommy boy and point out that Tom would be nothing without his teammates. The same is true for the likes of Vinateri and the rest of the team. They wouldn't be as successful as they are with him. I happen to think that the earlier Patriots teams didn't need him as much as they do now. I don't know why I even bother responding to your ludicrous notions because they sound like most other short sighted fanboy out there. Joe Montana had help. Tom Brady had help. Peyton Manning had help. All three of these guys are in the top 5 and none of them would be who they are without their team. I'm not here to argue two sides of the coin, just to refute the crap you guys spew.

Thing is, Tom didn't play very good the first two Super Bowls. I think he played like dog shit if I'm correct. (70-80 QBR) Those years in early 2000s were good to win with or without Tom. In fact, Drew Bledsoe had to get the win in Pittsburgh that year for them to even go to the Super Bowl.

Also, I"m going to compile the numbers and show you guys how good some of those defenses were early on. Those teams weren't flashy nor did they put a bunch of points, but they rode the defense, got turnovers, let Brady manage the game and finish it off with Vinateri's foot.

What? Dude you're out of your mind. You're trying too hard to prove your point. In the 2nd SB he had 350 yards and 3 TD's. He hit Deion Brach numerous times with pinpoint throws.

The first SB he was average cause at that point of his career he was an average player. He's made himself into a great player the following years.

How many QB's throw the ball 50 + times and win the game? You have to realize that a coaching staff has to have a tremendous amount of trust in your QB to run an offense like that. Brady is one of the very few QB's that has that kind of trust because he's earned it.

I thought a good option for them at the goaline would have been a read option/pass.

LOL.

No. Brady didn't stop the Seahawks on the goal line or this wouldn't even be in the discussion. If anything, these teams seem to gift wrap these types of games up for Tom. Wilson actually outplayed Brady that game. How about you give the Patriots defense some props. Hell, if the Seahawks run beastmode on that last play, you guys aren't even having this conversation. You would be talking about how Wilson outplayed Tom and the 2 INTs.

NC - this is how u broke into the convo last nite. Donofriose said Brady was top two with Montana and proved how great he was.
Your response above. You started with LOL. You say the games are gift wrapped for Tom. Nobody said that Brady won all by himself as you seem so hellbent on proving us "idiots" did. You in fact bluntly took credit away from Brady and state that he actually has NOTHING to do with it. Im not putting words in your mouth - giftwrapped the game for him - in other words - handed it to him on a silver platter. He threw 50 effing passes - completed 37? I think? - was 8-8 on the gamewinning drive! Nobody is saying he did it all. You are in fact coming across as he did nothing.

I do find it funny the Pats were seconds away from losing this game, probably should have lost, then a miracle play happens and all of a sudden everyone is gushing about Brady as if he picked off the pass. He played a great game don't get me wrong, but the game was out of his hands at that point. We could very easily be sitting here talking about his 3rd straight SB loss.
