After Rivera left (who had an elite defense), it went to shit in his first year.

I don't want this guy coaching our defense

- No second chance guys (Manusky)
- No unproven up-and-comers
- No a-holes (Rex Ryan)
- Don't over-think it. Just hire the best there is - Wade Phillips.

Just read an article that says that's basically the threat. If you can't hire the right staff how can you be trusted to lead a team?

so what about Rex Ryan as a DC? he is not going to get looked at as a HC anytime soon, but was a great 3-4 DC . . . thoughts? I'd be game myself

he is going to be on TV, lot shorts hours for about the same pay.

It's about damn time! It's a positive that Gruden wants to blow up the entire defensive coaching staff.....Perry Fewell was probably fired because the secondary as a whole greatly underperformed...... I'm looking forward to the Redskins hiring the new DC and I'm anxious to know what coaches he will add to his staff.....
