This is why the NFLPA needs to be concerned less with player discipline issues and more with player compensation issues in the next bargaining agreement negotiations.

u hit nail on the head! nflpa so worried about weed...they need to talk about guaranteed contracts!

And it's not even just that, you have cry babies like Brady and J. Harrison who b*tch and whine about the whole structure of player discipline. So that becomes one more bargaining issues, and the league uses that to get more favorable deals when it comes to compensation issues.

I'm sure if I'm an average player, I would rather have Goodell be judge/jury/executioner on player discipline matters if that means that I get favorable compensation and do away with these loopholes that allow teams to f*ck over players.

It is also not a big secret that the Patriots are dicks about rules like this, and for some reason, they feel compelled to break these rules.

I get competitiveness and whatnot, but sh*t like this is just annoying as hell. Belichick is notorious for putting up bogus injury reports and it would not surprise me if something like this happened.

I think covering up or underreporting injuries goes on across the league

Yeah, but covering up concussions is a pretty serious thing considering how much the NFL has been under fire in the last few years about concussion protocol and safety.
