I liked Ionnidis coming out last year. Believed he had potential to develop into an effective NFL lineman.

Of course, I felt the same about Arie Kouandijo.

I agree with JR. Gruden is either in one extreme or the other. Run or pass to the point of predictability. He just doesn't seem capable of out thinking opposing coaches.

Last week Gruden sd he called some run plays that Cousins checked into pass plays in the 2nd half and he sd he was going to work on it with Cousins. This week, it appears Cousins didnt check out of them.

I think he out thought Wade Phillips yesterday.

This offense seems like a new installment with everyone, including Cousins, learning bit by bit. But I dont see us running the ball 35+ times for over 200 yds any time soon.

I think yesterday Gruden tried hard to go against his natural tendencies since McVay/Phillips likely knew them very well. It will be interesting to see if he can come to a solid run pass balance.

Personally I liked the run heavy approach. I was surprised Jay stayed with it, in the past he would have gotten away from it.

Agreed. I doubt either were expecting run, run, run. I sure wasn't.

I'd expect Kirk to throw more against OAK, they have a bad pass D.

Defense is better but Cousins played horribly. I don't know what it is, but he looked nervous. Every time he snapped the ball under center it looked like he was going to fumble it. If he doesn't settle down we will lose a lot of games, because there were a lot of (easy) missed opportunities and other teams won't forgive you. Also the problem with our WRs is worrying to say the least.

I have to give Gruden a lot of credit for the game plan. The Rams have elite pass rushers but undersized run defenders. Running at them was the best approach and they found a way to be successful.

Btw, it was almost a home game at the Coliseum. Lots of B&G in the stadium!!!

Was hilarious. There was an audible "DE-FENSE!" chant during multiple occasions.
