I'll go even further and ask this. Aside from zone blocking, what was the basis of the "revamped" offense the staff worked so hard on this winter? Throwing the deep ball.

Neither of these guys are great, but Roy Williams is going to be a lot closer to the line of scrimmage this Monday and we all no why. When our "starting " QB throws for 70 yds. in 3 quarters, what defense/coordinator is going to respect the Washington Redskins passing game.

Excellent point.

We didn't have to throw. Portis was running wild. Also remember that.

where's the poll for "Brunell or Ramsey"?

i bet it comes out much different than the "trusting Gibbs" poll for some reason.

We voted on Ramsey or Brunell before the switch. Ramsey was the choice, but it's interesting to see the majority of us still trust Gibbs.

Draw your own conclusions.

Going back to the original question, it's a tough choice, but I'd have to say I don't support the decision. I'm not necessarily a Ramsy fan or a Brunell hater, I just don't think Ramsey was given a fair shake. I hope it is the right decision, and as others have said here and in other threads, my loyalty is to the team first and whatever gets us the W's.

My thoughts of Brunell last year were based on incomplete info. I was not aware that he had a bad hamstring during and after the Giants game. Which by the way was when he really started stinking up the joint. That is where Gibbs truly made a really bad coaching decision, not pulling him for Ramsey. I believe Gibbs doesn't trust Ramsey. I also truly believe he wanted Ramsey to be the QB of the future and move on to other challenges. I don't get to see practice everyday like some of the experts do on this forum, so I can only base my observations on the preseason, which is practice with officials. I saw a gunslinger that makes poor decision at the wrong times. Cannot throw a touch pass and will almost always fumble or throw an interception once in the red zone. Our offense at the moment is not good enough to make mistakes in the red zone. Brunell threw the ball with more zip this preseason and moved pretty well in the pocket. Chances are neither of these two will take us to the superbowl, but our best shot is with Brunell.

To answer the question, I say yes!

In Gibbs I Trust!!!!

I like that Brunell stayed in. Now he has 8 or 9 games under his belt in Gibbs system in real game action. Will be alot better this go around. Ramsey would have looked bad had he played that early in the season. Did you see him that preason. Give him a little more work.
