So much for the one word answers.

YES

I've asked this a few times but I don't think I've seen a clear answer.

What exactly has Ramsey done to deserve to be the unquestioned starter??

Why are people soooo emotionally attached to this guy??

It has to be an emotional attachment, that's the only way I can see why people are so supportive of a QB who's been so inconsistent. It has to be an emotional attachment when people are so eager to overlook his interceptions and inconsistent play.

I don't get it. Ramsey doesn't look like the answer right now, and in all likelihood Brunell is just a stopgap until Campbell is hopefully ready to take the job next year. But people are acting like we're benching Manning or Favre. We're benching a young QB who hasn't proven anything except that he's still an inconsistent QB that makes too many mental errors.

Did you not see my post about the preseason earlier? I don't take it into account. I don't worry about the preseason, much like the Colts. You know Tomlinson only had 1 carry in the preseason...so what? The preseason means nothing. That's why it's an exhibition game.

I would prefer a player who is inconsistent to one who is consistently bad. 70 yards in 2 and a half quarters of football is miserable. It is like watching paint dry when Brunell drops back. I have no faith in him. His best days are behind him. You can't win football games by not taking risks.

Yes, I support Gibbs. How can any of us be so bullheaded to think that we know better who should be starting at QB for the Redskins than Joe Gibbs?

I agree 100%. My only emotional attachment is to Joe Gibbs & the redskins as a whole. As for the current players...I want the one's on the field that Joe Gibbs and Greg Williams think give us the best chance of winning.

Matty i'm a bit surprised. you were just as loud as the rest of us last season when we begged for Brunell to get benched.

Ramsey salvaged the rest of last season. Gibbs was too late to try and get a winning record, but Ramsey sparked what little offense we had and started winning some games. he prevented an obscene losing record we were heading to with Brunell, and ended the season with hope. he proved he could score with what he had (unlike Brunell) and thats what got Ramsey the (19 minute) start this season and all the offseason reps.

Purely my opinion. No, its not a good decision.

Facts are Ramsey threw a pick on his second pass and fumbled twice. He has known he was the starter since last season and that's how he comes out of the gate? Bench him, I agree with Coach Gibbs that we need someone to establish themselves at qb. Its not that hard, even Kyle Orton was completing passes and holding onto the ball, Ramsey just looks shaky in the pocket and you can't have that.

Brunell didn't impress, I'd say Ramsey lost the job more than Brunell won it. But Ramsey is done in DC, his confidence is shot and he doesn't look comfortable on the field. I look for Brunell to have another big day against Big D.

So, if Brunell is in all likelihood just a stopgap, are you saying we might as well write off this entire season after 1 game? That's why I am so **** mad about this, not because I am personally connected to Ramsey's future in any way. With Ramsey, I feel we may not have to simply write off this entire season. With Brunell, I fear we will have to.

Again, I'm not emotionally attached to Ramsey. I AM emotionally attached to winning (though it's getting harder to remember what that was like) and I feel Ramsey gives us the best chance to do so for this season.

I guess.

This just sounds too much like last year. Although I question Ramsey, I was not impressed with Brunell play Sunday. So when Brunell messes up does he get yanked quick? Brunell had 8 games last year and Ramsey only had one half? I dont agree with that. How will Ramsey play when he gets back in is another question. Ramsey should of at least had 3 games to prove himself or not.

Based on what? What did Ramsey show any of us this pre-season or in the first game?

I'd start Campbell, but I'm just a Homer fan, that's why I'll defer to Coach Gibbs.
