Ok, here it is. A LOST thread for those of us that saw yesterday's episode. We can have this going throughout the season.
Here were some of my thoughts on the opener. At the very beginning I thought we were looking at another flashback, what with all the 70s music and all that. In fact, I thought it was a flashback to Locke before he lost use of his legs.
Interesting that the needle dude injected himself with had those numbers on it (4, 15, 16, etc.) and then when Jack goes down you see on one of the walls the number 108, which is the sum total of those other numbers.
Something really weird about that dog. Everytime someone goes off to look for him they have some sort of vision. Was that really Walt that Shannon (Mmmmm..Shannon! <<drool>>) saw, or just her imagination? He was soaking wet, though.

Dude - great episode. I heard they are going to reveal a bunch of stuff in the third episode.
I was wondering - do you think the stair-master guy "arranged" a miracle for Jack?

One of the prevailing theories running around the internet involves the island being some sort of 8th continent where people can see their genetic twin. In fact if you take a look around you can find a part of a script that has scene where Jack escapes the hatch and is tackled by someone only to reveal that the prson who tackles Jack looks exactly like him. It was supposed to be part of last night's episode but was apparently cut.
One of the other interesting things I have found is that many believe that in the finale to last season that the people on the boat were infact the survivors at an older age.
I thought last night was great and I am stoked to find out what is going on. I just hope it doesn't end up like X-files where we never actually found anything out.

i think it all depends on how long they have to try and stretch the story arc out... all of kate's lines were overdubbed for some reason (lost her voice?) and the dubbing was awful and really annoying which kinda threw it off a bit :(

They cant really stretch it out mroe than maybe a third season in my opinion. Then it will turn into somthing with just alot of rediculous garbage that makes the show look like a joke.

The opening was definitely a bit of a twist and I'm definitely curious to see where they go with Walt getting shang-haied(sp?), but the main thing I can't wait to find out about is the smoke looking stuff and how the freakin hell polar bears are on the island. at first I thought maybe everything thats happened has been the result of Walt's imagination or something to that extent but I dunno. all I know is this show definitely has me wanting more after every episode I see.
one question: was that dude holding the gun to locke's head and had earlier been riding the stationary bike the same guy who helped Jack with his twisted ankle? cuz he looks familar but I can't remember when I saw him in the show.

Interesting theories! Now that I think about the "Other" that shot Sawyer had a bit of a Sawyer-vibe going with him.
Are these "Others" like who the main characters would be had their lives taken a different path? Because remember that dude that Jack met while jogging the stairs in the stadium, he said he had thought about being a doctor. Yet he didn't become one, but Jack did

The dude running the stairs was the same dude holding the gun in the end of the episode. I've heard a few theories but pray and pray that LOST doesnt get as popular as the X-files. I do NOT want it to last that long. I want this show to end at the end of this season or the next. The longer it goes, the crappier it will get, with the added b.s story lines. And please oh please dont let anyone wake up with all this being a dream. I might honestly stop watching TV except for sports! :banghead:

Supposedly someone gets killed in this Wednesday's all-new episode...anyone have any predictions on who it will be?
