People stay in the hotels near Metro airport or in very nice Oakland Co. when they have had the SB in Detroit. I am sure a lot stay in the Detroit hotels, but those are rather expensive. Outside of the s tadium/RenCen area Detroit is definitely a dump. But yeah, you are right, Nashville and Memphis are total dumps. In fact, in my travels, anything south of Louisville and Lexington KY are dumps. Tenn and Arkansas make Detroit's eastside look good!!!!!
