Mike Shanahan makes excuses for Beck, much like Norv Turner used to make excuses for Gus Frerotte. Shanahan talks about how Beck is a young QB, and he needs time to develop. This is basically saying that no matter how our QB position looks to everyone outside of the organization including sports writers and NFL analysts, Mike Shanahan will overlook Robert Griffin III, Landry Jones, and Matt Barkley and continue on with Beck in the future. If this happens I will be so angry with our head coach. However, even in Beck becomes more consistent and plays beautifully the second half of the season, I still don't see how Allen and Shanahan can neglect the QB position for a second straight year.
