Re: Win Or Lose?
Anybody notice how Betts was in there on returns right away after the fumble by Brown?
I actually like Betts on returns, kinda give us that Brian Mitchell type of return man, a physical guy who slams it up in there and runs north and south rather than dancing around. Brown better shape up, or he's going to be outta there pretty quick. Turning the ball over on special teams is a huge no-no in Gibbs' book. I'd go with Betts and Thrash on kickoffs, and give the PR job to Thrash if Brown screws up again. |

Re: Win Or Lose?
Brown seems like a good guy, hard worker, and he had a good camp up until the 4th game, but that is it. He had a fumble last year that cost us a game, a fumble this year that could have very easily cost us the game, he is a liability on offense, and he is one dimensional has a runner, i.e. he is fast, thats it, he can't break tackles. ... how many chances will this guy get?

Re: Win Or Lose?
You're right; it's great to be 1-0.
The key for the Dallas game will be for Brunell (for better or worse, we're stuck with him for now) to repeat the performance he had against them on Monday Night last year. The Cowboys scored nothing but touchdowns yesterday, so we'll need a few ourselves. |

Re: Win Or Lose?
I'm really not too worried about Dallas's offense. I AM concerned that Bledsoe spread the ball around however. I think something like 5-6 receivers caught a ball or more.

Re: Win Or Lose?
I am confident Jones will get shut down and that we'll put pressure on Bledsoe, but I just feel if our D has a weak spot at all, it's against the short pass.

Re: Win Or Lose?
i was suprised in some of our goal line situations, we didn't see nehemiah broughton or rock cartwright. i thought that was what they are here for, to get the short yardage.

Re: Win Or Lose?
While I will take a win over a loss anyday, sometimes I think we become a little discouraged about the way we win which is understandable. We as fans know we are not going to win many games scoring nine points, and while we got by today, we know tomorrow we might not be so lucky.
Our major problem last year was the inability to score points, and so far this season we have not done anything "noticeable" to change that. It's actually painful to think that had we averaged 21 pts. last season our record would have been 12-4. So, regardless of who starts at QB, who catches how many passes, who runs for how many yards, until we stop the penalties, fumbles, interceptions, sustain drives, and play consistent, we'll just be a carbon copy of last year. I don't think we'll be able to beat Dallas Monday night with nine points. |

Re: Win Or Lose?
Personally I don't care if we win every game 6-3.......the only thing that matters at the end of the season is W's.

Re: Win Or Lose?
Winning is the only thing that matters. I just wish some fans would actually see that.
That's what the coach is trying to do. He's trying to return the Redskins to glory and to the playoffs and to a superbowl. And you don't get that by losing. So if you gotta win 3 to 0, then win 3 to 0. Heck, I remember sitting the whole way through a game against the Jets with that score back aroun 1994. I just want to go to the Superbowl again. The playoff drought has to end soon!!! I don't care how we win as long as we win. I just wish my fellow fans would see it that way too. |

Re: Win Or Lose?
He's not going to win with Mark Brunell...what is going to make Mark Brunell magically play better this year? He looked exactly the same yesterday. He tried to win with Brunell last year...this just in...it didn't work!
