Seattle clearly did not need more than three years to completely change the position of their franchise in the NFL. They were down for two seasons.

The cap penalty isn't the difference between us and a great team. And it would matter a lot less if Mike didn't waste his first two seasons blowing up the defense and making several big mistakes at QB. But that misses the point. Talent is way down on the list of problems we face. Mike and co probably take up the top ten spots on the list and the cap penalty might be the eleventh.
