What if Shanny is under a mind control device controlled by Xenu from his space ship and Kyle is secretly his handler and that's why Tom Cruise is always at home games and what if RG3 is a spy meant to sabotage Shanny and he's been throwing games because once Shanny goes full blown lobster the experiment is complete and then Cousins comes in and takes a sample of his lobster skin and Cousins and RG3 hops onto Alfmo's back and rides off into the sunset. Washington DC has been saved from lobster man and his Xenu handler.

I say bench RGIII until he stops throwing off his back leg. His mechanics have been all screwed up this season.

I went back and watched the Shanny presser and after getting through the gazillion "hows your relationship with the ower" and "where are the leaks coming from" I noticed around the 21 min. mark MS is asked about RG3's feelings and how he's handling it and MS says "as I said we will sit down and make a decision and go from there. We'll sit down with the QB's and decided which direction we want to go in."

This last bit made me wonder if he's referring to sitting down in the off season and deciding if they want to continue with RG3 and the read option type of plays or go in a totally different direction with Cousins. I know you guys will tell me I'm reading too much into it. and perhaps he was referring to after the last game but I thought the question was about RG3 and his feelings and MS says nothing about the feelings and says something close to what I put above.

I just LOL'd at my desk. A sample of his lobster skin......classic!

All of this nonsense could have easily been avoided. All Shanny had to say was that he was going with Cousins because we've been losing and he is hoping that Cousins can spark the team. There would have been no harm in Shanny admitting that RGIII has not played well; that much is obvious. So, the stated reason for sitting RGIII would be poor performance.

Shanny did not need make RGIII inactive. He could have simply resolved not to play him for the rest of the season and kept that decision to himself.

I suppose that plan was just too simple to suit the devious career machinations of all the parties involved. It's this last part that makes the Redskins franchise a joke.

Exactly right. The explained reasons by the coaching staff is why the Skins continue to be one of the worst franchises in the NFL

I think he didn't want to further hurt his pride and ego, although de-activating him pretty much does that. The Shanahan's like Cousins, had a 1st round grade on him and probably think he's the better fit to run their offense. If Cousins plays well, he's not going anywhere and RG3 might be the one that's dangled out there as trade bait.

I agree with you. Sometimes I think MS is terrible at interviews and the other half I think he's trying to give so much disinformation to not give his opponent any info.

Also keep in mind this team was, supposedly and I don't know how the math works out, but still in the game for the play offs (even though most of us would say they don't look like a play off team). So I guess it was smart to continue playing RG3 up until the team was completely eliminated from the play off picture. Which is what happened last weekend. Now Cousins starts.
