I havent actually seen the presser but that would seem to place the blame on the players.

I was curious to see the blitz % was about the norm compared to other games, Dallas excluded. I am curious what the breakdown would be 1st half very 2nd half.
Reading the excerpts on Twitter, doesn't sound like Gruden was defending anyone.

He clearly states that scheme wise they could have done better. I dont think he is defending Haslett as much as he is blaming the players as well as Haslett. Like the Redskins....a weak defense.
Either way that guy is gone for good by next year. Hopefully sooner.

How many times do we keep saying that until it comes true?

After thinking about it (and halfway calming down from Sunday), Gruden is in a really tough spot.

He has to get players to go out and compete when there isn't much left to play for this year.

Coming out and expressing a lack of confidence in a coordinator and then asking players to buy into that coordinator's plan creates disfunction. He needs to back his coaches until he is in a position to change.

Quick question about the Vikes game. How come the 'skins didn't put DJax back for punt/kick off return to add a spark? He was absolutely dangerous when he'd return kicks for Philly. My mind kept going back to the Eagles/Giants game a few years back.

Probably want to save DJax for something really important. No sense getting him hurt, it's not like we're going somewhere. Besides, Roberts has looked good and secure and very un-Redskin special teams like, let's not mess with that.

I don't care what that article says. I watched both the post game and day after presser and he didn't defend Haslett. He simply stated that you can't point all that was wrong on one person. (haz)
