And they're getting those numbers with a pretty weak o-line, especially in straight drop-back pass pro. Imagine if we could block a second or two longer on play action passes? Or hold blocks against the blitz for a second more? We might actually pick up a few 3rd and longs...
I feel ok with keeping Gruden and the offensive staff, given the way the O has performed with non-stellar QB play. The D is underperforming, in my opinion, though they clearly need a talent upgrade at a number of spots. So better coaches and schemes, better players. Look, it's a long haul. My view: keep Gruden; new D staff; get some friggin talent evaluators!
