And come on with the Reed needing to sell the play..that was a clear pick. Lol I agree with the under throw to Reed, drops by Roberts(why is he playing...coaching decision), and the fumble by jones...that's on the players. BUT Couple of those Ints are on by gruden because he put him in a poor situation/call which is asking too much of cousins ability.

I had no problem with the play calling myself, players gotta make plays, and our players missed a lot of open plays, including some bunnies to use a basketball reference.

Re: Giants Post Game Reactions
Cousins should just watch Varsity Blues next Saturday night..."Fire that fucking pigskin"...and he'll be good.
To everyone, I love this site, without it out here in Cali I'd be so much more depressed. Even if I don't agree with you on a specific topic, you all make being a Skins fan more enjoyable. At the end of the days, regardless of opinions/strategy, we all just want to win. Httr.

I have no clue how Roberts even sees the field at this point. He was a terrible free agent signing. Like to see Ross and crowder getting his reps

With Scotty and Gruden being very "what have you done for me lately" oriented, Roberts has been inconsistent at best and with young, hungry guys that can produce in the wings, I don't get why he's still here. But it probably helps Roberts chances that he is a Gruden guy and not leftovers from the Shanahan era.

Why don't we let the GM make that decision? Maybe he likes Gruden.

I know many of you don't like Joey T. but he has a very good insight regarding the team.

Off note - but - Brian Regan is the funniest person alive, and he uses no dirty humor. The guy is absolutely hilarious.
And, eh, go Skins! Note - I'm watching him right now, this wasn't random thing to share.

Re: Giants Post Game Reactions
Really you think a college QB is going to come in next season and make that much of a difference for us next year. Good Luck with that bro college QB's are very rare breed who are pro ready. They all run the spread offense.

Re: Giants Post Game Reactions
You think they are falling off trees? Franchise QB's don't come around every year. In fact they don't always have to be in the 1st round. See Tom Brady 6th rd and Russell Wilson 3rd. Sometimes a franchise can luck up and get one. Make no mistake we haven't had franchise QB since Joe T. Joe Gibbs won with 3 different QB's and not one of them was a franchise QB.

So where did J fail you ask? (1) gameplan....IF our identity is gonna be run focused then we actually need to commit to running the ball. Against the Giants we did not. We did not follow the gameplan that brought success vs the Rams. We followed a gameplan where Kirk was asked to pass the ball too much, thus placing Kirk in position to fail...which he did. Our strength right now is not the passing but the running game....the OL Trent, Scherff, Moses, Alf and Matt Jones. (2) Personnel and prep punt return unit. The Gints identified a weakness in our punt protection and exploited it. J had a newly active LB (Plummer) in a key position on punt protect and he failed. (3) Refusal to run the ball on 3rd and 2. Going deep on 3rd and 2. Inefficient. (4) On a key short yardage conversion attempt using Carrier (who we know is not a proven run blocker) to block the POA as opposed to McCoy (a known effective run blocker). (5) Targeting Roberts, known to have drop issues last year and displayed those same issues already...Parcells? I believe said think players not plays when it comes to key situations...i.e I could go on but its late i'm tired but you get the idea....I am not saying the whole game was on J. But since YOU asked for areas where he failed there are some. HTTR |
